What do you get when you combine the elegance of Mobster Mobile Design and the technical prowess of the drkapprenticeDESIGNS team? The answer is the Palladium series of themes where form meets function. Available in an array of stunning and vibrant colors, this collaboration is a must for any theme fanatic.

Palladium is an OS7 custom layout theme for your compatible device that was designed by Mobster Mobile Design and coded by the drkapprenticeDESIGNS team. What this means is that while your home screen is a vivid, metallic work of art, the folders are invisible. You'll need to utilize Universal Search to locate your programs or move them out of the folders and onto your desktop before switching themes. This is a common issue with using the workaround but it's not inconvenient.

Palladium large clockPalladium - large clock and bouncing dock displayed

Features

  • Have your most used icons available or hidden
  • ALT-I: to hide the dock
  • ALT+O: to show the dock
  • Have a choice of beautiful large clock with unique battery and signal meters, medium sized off center clock or small clock (ALT+W, Medium clock, ALT+E Large clock, ALT+R Small clock)

Palladium offers an amazing metallic icon set and a bouncing reflective icon dock. That was not a misprint, you did read that correctly. When an application in the dock is selected, it will bounce. Custom fonts, matching color highlights, and new message notifications round out the rest of this beautiful and sleek design. For those who are familar with drkapprenticeDESIGNS then you know their signature style of having the banner at the top light up with a new incoming message. In this case, the signature red glow is replaced by the color of the theme chosen. What I like is that on the large clock the bar will indicate the name of the selected application and the bottom left and right hand corners indicate the signal strength and battery meter in an easy to read manner.

At this time you can grab Palladium in BlackBerry App World for $3.99. It's available in four eye catching colors: Amethyst, Rose, Ruby, and my favorite Turquoise. Whether you choose one color or them all you won't be disappointed. It runs smooth, looks great, and garners a lot of attention when seen by other people. This theme is compatible with the BlackBerry 9900/30/81 running OS7/7.1, and the 9650, 9700, and 9780 running OS6 will be coming soon.

What are you waiting for? There are so many possibilities and combinations when running this theme especially when paired with your favorite wallappers. Let us know which color is your favorite in the comments below.

They really need to do something about theme building for os7 these are some of the best themes we've ever seen and the annoying invisible bug is bothersome to people like myself.

Can't wait for DC to release this on os6!

9650/9700/9780 are almost completed and should be released on MyBBOTA.com today!

Do you have move programs out of all folders or just folders you've created yourself?

dcburke789

All folders are effected

i like how RIM found the time to gather and create a theme section for os7 devices in app world, but cant be bothered to release a theme builder because "they cant get it to work with liquid graphics". really RIM? all your developers and programmers really couldnt figure this out, yet you can acknowledge the fact other people have figured it out, and youre willing to sell their products at a percentage?

I'm sure they could if they really wanted to but I imagine RIM having bigger priorities right now. Like getting Blackberry 10 out of the door ASAP. Can't blame them.

Why do themes only get built and designed for the 9900 series?? Wheres the themes for the Torch 9800 series??

I would really love a Today theme for the 9930. Just keep the dock and today screens up at the same time, that is all I ask.

Thank you BB Theme developers!

I had the same problem, wanting to see my calender on the home screen, when using a theme. I found Fancy Widgets. (http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/23368) it doesn't let you click on events, but atleast you can see your calender at a glance. I use it to also see the weather. Hope this helps you.

What's the odds of this theme being available for download the 9850/60?

It would be nice if you could think about the other bb users to.
