LittleBrother for BlackBerry

Matthias let us know that his GPS utility LittleBrother has been updated to fix a recently discovered bug within the app. LittleBrother is a handy app that lets you keep family and friends
informed of your location while using very few resources on your device.
The current version of the application did not notify users about an accidental expiration, however a new version has since fixed the issue and things are back to normal. Users can download the latest version OTA or use the "Check for Update" function within the app.

Google Maps is doing the same thing with lot more feature and it's free.

With all respect you are comparing apples with oranges here - I had good reasons to create LittleBrother [if you are happy with GoogleMaps App (and have every time a spare battery with you) it's fine...] You probable have not picked up the core idea behind LittleBrother - or you simply don't need this kind of GeoCron functionality - that's also more then fine.

GoogleMaps/Latitude does not do (yet) what LittleBrother can do for you... Of course that can change in the future.

What exactly are the features of this app I'm downloading now to give it a spin but how does it use less battery? Is it only tower based or gps based? And what makes it different than the apple or the orange?

I can't seem to get this application to work. I have a 9700 on Bell Mobility and it keeps telling me no location. I also have an empty list of cell towers. I manually changed all permissions to Allow.

Any suggestions?
