I cant get the app to work, i downloaded official version from app world, installed the leaked version via OTA and when i try to open i get a "Java.lang.error" and if i reboot i get asked for a Key, has anyone managed to bypass this?

Posted by mechanic_joe Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I need a keycode? Does everyone else? Why isn't this mentioned in the post?

Posted by pilot-leo Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

from what I understand, u need to have an official release installed & then overwrite it with this leak to avoid getting the request for a keycode!

@Leonardo

Posted by youagain Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Tried that but I'm still being asked for a keycode.

Posted by juttin3 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Replaced previous version and rebooted like it told me to. To accept agreement you have to put in code.

Just installed it on 9780 OS6. Installation ok, working fine...

Posted by leafs123 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

YOU DON'T NEED A KEYCODE. WORKS WITHOUT ONE!!...I like how if you drag the screen down on the torch, twitter refreshes.

Posted by jstipe Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

WRONG, I need a keycode

Posted by Alicia Erlich Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I think to avoid this error you cannot uninstall T4BB on your device. You will need to download the leak while it is still installed and choose Replace when downloading. I did this on the 9800 and its working fine. ~A.

Posted by Dragon919 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I did this as well and it still wants a key code.

Posted by simonstark Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Looks much better than the previous version, but it's still sloooow on my BB 9700 (OS 6 of course). SocialScope FTW :)

Just downloaded it how do I use it without a key code?

Posted by kellidotca Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

It would REALLY help if they added multiple account support.. i have a personal and a business account.. switching back and forth will be even hard now w/o ubertwitter...

Posted by simonstark Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

@reply me on twitter and I'll send you an invite for SocialScope.

Posted by _MrMojo_ Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Download failed for 9700 :(

Posted by josh05 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I have to enter the keycode on the agreement note in the bottom before I agree to the terms.

Posted by fitted230 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

It's asking for a keycode?

Posted by CasieW15 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I just downloaded the leaked version and its asking for a keycode. And I overwrited the offical version. Not sure why its not working. And I'm running os 6. :(

Posted by DawgMan Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I downloaded over official version and its asking for key code. Deleted, reinstalled Official, will try again.

Posted by mekano Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Just downloaded on my Torch. Works awesome, seems a lot smoother. No keycode need here!! Love it!

Posted by g.james73 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

What key code did you use??

Posted by g.james73 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Does not work on the torch. It ask for key code. GARBAGE

Posted by Hwycop Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I also have official version of twitter from Blackberry App. World. I tried to overwrite for my 9700 with OS 6 and I can't get past the key code. I try to accept without putting one in and it comes back invalid. I cut and paste my last key code from the Beta Zone and it comes back invalid. Help anyone?

Posted by johnnyofthefields Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Works PERFECT! It's really sad that here and on the App World, there is so many bad reviews based only by incapable users... Install Twitter from the App World, download the leak.

Posted by kerrysummers Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

More than half of the users are being asked for a keycode...and you're saying that half of us are incapable? Thanks for the advice, but listen when I tell you, YOUR ADVICE SUCKS!

Posted by marcosis Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Haha.Hilarious

Posted by syounger64 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

This is retarded. I can see this twitter getting msgs for me via homepage but where's THE CODE? I cant use it and from what Ive seen of this post, it still doesnt look better than ubertwitter! I'm only using it till ubertwitter gets back online so where's the freakin' code?

Posted by Thor1972 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Can't download to my 9700 (still on OS 5) due to 'unable to find cod'. Is probably a OS6 only? Or not available outside the US...

Posted by Michelle Haag Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

As noted in the post, this version is BB6 only.

Posted by Thor1972 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

The post said: "It looks like this version is only compatible with BB6". "It looks like" suggests a presumption, not a confirmation...

Anyway, after six tries I managed to download and install. Still it doesn't work. Definitely...

Posted by jstipe Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I need a keycode. I installed over the official 1.1.0.12 version and it still asked me.

Posted by fjleon Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

i have a bold 9700 with 6.0.0.461, had twitter 1.1.0.12, downloaded the leak, replaced, rebooted and it didn't ask me for a code. Weird

Posted by SpyDude Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Love this new version, works great on 9780 T-Mobile.

Posted by oddie_star Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Downloaded on 9700 os6 ,there's number in notification and a green dot/sign on DM (strange its old DM which is I'm not replied) new logo both in homescreen and notification..

Posted by GammaRayBeats Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

After overwriting over the official version on my storm 1. I no longer have the icon on my home screen. WTF? I cannot find it and it's in my application > add on folder. Anyone having this problem too?

Posted by Ntario Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Same here i have No Icon on the storm 2 running .1015

Posted by filmsnob Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Same here. 8530 running 5.0.0.654. Shows up in my app list, but no icon to be found in any folder or screen if even if switching to "show all." Thought maybe it wasn't compatible with a 3rd party theme, so switched back to one of the stock Sprint themes. Still nowhere to be found.

Posted by marcosis Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

As stated in the article, you have to be running OS 6. Sorry guys.

Posted by Michelle Haag Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

For what it's worth... I had v1.1.0.11 installed, clicked the link above from my BB, downloaded and rebooted. It worked fine for me on 9800/6.0.0.450.
It never asked for a keycode and I didn't have to agree to TOS again. I was not logged in to T4BB when I downloaded the new version.
I don't know if that will help anyone.

Posted by fitted230 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

WHATS THE KEYCODE !!!????!!

Posted by idee Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Works fine on the 9800 Torch!

Posted by Irish_711 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Running OS6 on my 9650... Installed .12, downloaded .13. Asking for a key code!!! Sorry, this was a fail and a complete waste of my time!!!!!

Posted by jstipe Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Me too, why post a link to it if you cant use it.

Posted by johnnyofthefields Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

No, it's only YOU who can't read other posts who can't use it!

Posted by jstipe Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

It must surely be me. My Blackberry detected through my aura that I was an "incapable user", as you put it in a previous post, and decided based on that that I should have to put in a keycode. Meanwhile, your Blackberry detected your awesomeness and decided you didn't need a keycode. I bow to your superiority.

I think its funny when highway cops try to cross the grassy median and get hung up. Now that is funny.

Posted by s5sahil Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

No problems what so ever. Had 1.1.0.12 and upgraded to leaked 1.1.0.13 on my 9700/6.0.0.461 with new icon and better interface.
Now this is what you call an update unlike last one which was nothing but a point update. Yes I did lost icon from homescreen but located it in my downloads folder (own created).
Well No keycodes demanded, no errors I have Twitter v1.1.0.13 up and running. Thumbs up team CB.

Posted by jamesuc Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I didn't need a keycode either. Have a 9650 with OS 6. Downloaded it and installed. I don't understand why some are getting asked for a keycode. Is it possible that the people having problems are using a leaked OS? I have no idea, just asking the question. It does seem some of the avatars are slow loading.

i am 9700 for tmobile os 6 i just rebooted and it works great!!

Posted by crigga84 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Dying to use this but it's asking for a keycode. Is there a method to install it without getting this demand?

I have a 9700 with 6.0.0.461 and installed it over Twitter 1.1.0.12.

Posted by rusco Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Just one question, how can I safely install this leaked version without asking the code at the end?

Just finish download, however, it keeps asking for the code the moment I'm trying to open it... :(

Sorry, I'm back with earlier version now...

Posted by crigga84 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Just saw a leak for BBM 6 at n4bb.com and I installed that. It asked for a keycode too, so I entered an old keycode from a BBM 5 version from the beta zone and it worked.

I thought the same might work for this Twitter but it didn't :(

Posted by marcosis Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I'm guessing it's an Application specific keycode. So if you had one for a beta version of Twitter, maybe that one might work.

Posted by pinkkyla Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Why post an app wen d̶̲̥̅̊ key isn't provided

Posted by stubbornswiss Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

So....... this is why Twitter killed Ubertwitter?

Posted by torr100 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Keycode asked for me. BB Bold 9700 OS. 6.0.0.461.

Posted by zamir112 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I have a 9700 OS6 running 6.0.0.461.. I managed to use this update without entering the invalid keycode screen.. What i did is: I deletet twitter for blackberry, opened desktop manager went to applications and installed twitter again and noticed it was version 1.0.1.11(first tried this method with 1.0.1.12 and it didn't work), then I installed this leak and rebooted my phone, opened twitter en voila no problems with the keycode! So maybe you have to downgrade your twitter and install the leak version?
Hope this helped u guys

ANSWER IS HERE GUYS STOP CRYING

Posted by jlyriq Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

is there anyone using a leaked OS that has gotten this to work?

Posted by AFuentesJr Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

You need to be running 6.0, have an official Twitter app installed, and need to be logged in to Twitter in order for you to not be asked for a keycode...got it? Running fine for me on my Torch.

Posted by jlyriq Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

are you running an official OS or leaked?

Posted by zamir112 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

U don't have to be logged in to get it worked

Posted by DawgMan Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I'm running OS 6, and have downloaded over official Twitter app that I was signed in to. I've done this multiple times and it is not working. So obviously your comment is invalid.

Posted by Hwycop Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Several people have stated they have 9700 with the latest leaked OS and it has worked for them. So that seems to not be an issue.

Posted by alpinechem Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Fuck...i downloaded on my Torch and now it asking me for a KEY CODE

Posted by KMerrick2 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

EPIC FAIL. Shut down ubertwitter, "leak" new official version, and it doesn't work for half the people b/c they need keycode (me included). thanks twitter! give us back uber now!

Posted by jlyriq Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

yea its just not gonna work for some people

Posted by jonathan.vila Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

DONT NEED A KEYCODE AND WORKS PERFECT ON MY BOLD 9780!
IT'S FASTER, NEW COOL ICON AND THE LOOK IS VERY NICE, LOVE IT! :)

Posted by kodybrannon Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I was asked for a key code. using OS 6 on BB Style. Stupid Twitter for BB. I want my Ubertwitter back

Posted by OliD Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Just dnld and it works well. I like the refresh feature when you slide down. It would be nice if the app took advantage of left/right swipe gestures to go from Home TL to @ Mentions, etc. That would make it the best app possible. Make it happen. The touch screen doesn't need icons. Do it like the App World

Posted by henghs Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Anyone? Does it support long tweet?
One of the feature still missing from BB twitter client 1.1.0.12?

Posted by Saint_Errant Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Installed with no problems on my Torch. Seems much faster and slicker.

Posted by knuckles937 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Just downloaded on my 9650 bold ota from BB browser and had no problem. The link on the first page didn't seem to work but when I page over to the second page of comments, the link worked and I was able to download. After that reboot and there you have it. Hope this helps!

Posted by obaquerizo Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I try it in a 9700, OS 5 and i lost the icon, have to install a previous version

Posted by Hwycop Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I even downgraded to Twitter 1.0.1.11 as a couple other people suggested and still need a freaking key code. I have reset my phone so many times today holy crap - Please give me back UberTwitter.

Posted by SC457 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Doesn't work on Bold 9700 running latest leaked OS6. Needs keycode like evryone else that can't get it. Uber was the best anyway.

Posted by jragz22 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

i think the people who made this app should tell us what the keycode is

Posted by ifraser Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I have a new one to add to the mix, 9700 os6.0.0.461

Twitter installed great and worked ok with no keycode request till 11.50 tonight. Now stating invalid timestamp and won't update twitter feeds at all???

Posted by youagain Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Like everyone else after several attempets I still found myself needing a keycode. So here is what I did. Deleted twitter and reinstalled it through desktop manager rather than download it through my blackberry browser. This installed 1.1.0.11 and then after I installed the leak it started working. This was attempt number 6!! Don't know if installing 1.1.0.12 through desktop manager would work.

FYI prior to trying that I was trying to upgrade from 1.1.0.12 and after each failed attempt I would reinstall the latest official build trough my BB Browser.

BTW hooking it up to desktop manager also updated my BBM to 5.0.1.45 from 5.0.1.41. Not yet available through the BB Browser or Appworld.

Posted by boldtime Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

Just followed the instructions and it worked! Thanks!

Installed on Bold 9700 running 6.0.0.461

Just bring back UberTwitter or UberSocial. I don't want to have to tolerate this inferior Twitter for Blackberry or any other worthless app.

Dont download it and jump to iphone.... stupid fag!!

Posted by dictoresno Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

i just installed it on my 9800. i think as long as you are running the newest official twitter from RIM, you wont need the key code. i installed it and then rebooted upon prompt. it never asked for a keycode.

Posted by Hwycop Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Read the replies, there are over 100 of them, there are a tonne of people that have the official version downloaded from BB app world and still need a key code. Me included.

Posted by Hwycop Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

With soooo many people being frustrated by this upgrade to Twitter, this has to be one of the worst leaked upgrades EVER. And to top it off, probably everyone will jump back to UberSocial as soon as it gets approved. I wonder if the key code fiasco has anything to do with carrier. I am on Bell Mobility and I could not do the upgrade. Regardless, I am leaving twitter as soon as Uber is back.

Posted by GeekJedi Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

The keycode is due to it being a beta. A lot of official beta software comes from BB needing a code to activate it. So all of you who are whining and threatening to leave really need to grow up. It's leaked beta software. You aren't entitled to it simply because you want it.

So yeah, go ahead and leave Twitter.

Posted by lyricidal Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

One click installer for Twitter4BB, BBM6, Facebook leaks - http://bb-h.me/mC5pg
If it asks for keycode, revert to official, login, and install via PC using that ^
note: I promise nothing, provided as is!

Posted by ddj247 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

Tried installing it a different way which would be my 2nd attempt and no luck. Damn KEYCODE!

Posted by eotnetworks Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

The answer has been posted a couple times in here. This is what worked for me.

1) Uninstall whatever version you have
2) Hook up your device to desktop manager
3) Install version 1.0.1.11 that came with your OS
4) Install the update from here to bring you to 1.0.1.13

That set of steps did not require a key code. Every other way I tried *without* using the version from Desktop Manager resulted a required key code (which I'm not sure anyone can provide)

Hope that helps...and thanks for the users who gave the tip about using desktop manager! Much appreciated!

I downloaded it from the CB Launcher app and had no keycode issue. Bold 9650 with OS 6 (431).

Anyone else showing it as version 1.0.1.13 instead of version 1.1.0.13?

Just because some users don't need a keycode, doesn't mean others don't either.

I have an official Twitter release, I'm running OS 6.0.466 and I downloaded/installed the revised Twitter OVER my original Twitter, rebooted, and it asks me for a keycode.

Obviously, there is an issue with the leak.

works very fine,good app

Downloaded the leak, reboot the device twice and wha-lah no twitter icon.

Posted by philips14 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

guys, i don't have any problem with installing this version.

I suggest u have the official one then replace with this leaked version.
This's the way I do.

(i'm using OS6.)

Posted by Charger83 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I have OS6.461 and it works fine you need to have twitter version .11 not .12 and re-install it with .13 so stop your crying!

Posted by coldfir3 Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

are you fucking retarded?! did you miss all the posts about people replacing it with the old version and still getting the keycode request or are you just being a stupid lil prick?

Posted by mjhunterjr Saturday, Feb 19, 2011 460 days ago

I really like the update a lot.. My only issue is that Twitter won't update through social feeds with this update installed..

they need to make to where u can change the color of the UI

Posted by Ano Hito Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 460 days ago

It could be a combination of mobile carrier as well as OS build, I have not tried it yet, but I know that the BB Travel App was not available for my Tour when first released, but now it is.

Everybody who is crying and moaning, it's a leaked version which means there are gonna be problems get over it.

I dont know what the heck is going on, but I installed it over 1.1.0.12 on my 9800 running 6.0.0.450 and I didn't need a code. I guess some users are just getting lucky

Posted by rusco Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 460 days ago

Rather wait for better leaked version or the official ones. Doing some tricky stuff will never work, unless you have the working code... :(

Just installed on 9780 OS6 and it's working :)

Not sure if this will help anyone out, but as have most people, I had issues getting this leak to install without being required to put in a keycode. After multiple attempts at installing the leak by replacing .11 with .12, I gave up. Then, later today, I randomly signed into Desktop Manager and looked to see what applications I had on the device which I didn't need and which I might want to add. Twitter was not currently on the device, so I installed the version of Twitter which came with the OS last approved by my mobile network. This happened to have been .11. Then, I opened Twitter on the phone, still .11. I went to options, then scrolled down to the "see if there is an update" link. I clicked it, and downloaded and installed the update, .12. Surprisingly, I was not asked to reboot the phone. I opened Twitter, and though I was told that the new version had installed, in Twitter options, it still showed I was using .11. I was wondering if I could trick the phone by installing the leak, .13, and reboot the phone. It worked! I WAS asked this time to reboot, btw.

I am using a Torch, if that makes any difference to anyone.

BTW, I'm just using this until UberTwitter is back up! Nothing can beat UberTwitter!

Update: I updated this comment cuz I see after submission that others have given similar direction! Sorry for the extra submission!

STOP CRYING! Look thru the comments and see what works...

Much appreciated!

its working. and i think i might stick to it now. it does everything i need it to do now and im happy.

This is weird... I downloaded on my 9700 running 6.0.0.461, and it worked fine, no key code necessary.

I then, being greedy, decided to download it on my 9780, running 6.0.0.441. It downloaded fine, rebooted etc. When I opened the app, it did not require a keycode, worked fine, but did show a 9 next to the cool new bird, meaning I had 9 new messages (which were just old, because when I loaded it onto the 9700, it showed 2, and I deleted them & moved on).

But on my 9780, it just said "No Messages Available." So, thinking of the BBM ghost numbers, where it said I had a message but didn't, I rebooted the phone. I opened the app...and now it requires a keycode! Such a shame, I really liked it. I guess I'll have to spend more time on my 9700 if I want to use it

I updated from .12 and lost the twitter icon. Can't seem to find it now. Reverted back to the previous version.

OK, the people who got it to work . Tell us what the key code is???

Am on OS 6 .450, BB 9800. No problems upgrading from .12 to .13 using the given link. It looks exactly like the twitter app on the Androids now.... cool !!

SO... I used the BlackBerry desktop manager for mac, and "switched device"... it copied the leaked version of twitter to my 9780, and now..it works perfectly!

Works for me, running a Curve 9300 with OS 6 1879 v6.0.0.448 with twitter 1.1.0.12
Twitter was not running. It said replace, which I did then I rebooted. Running great!

Works fine on 9780 running OS6.0.0.448. Downloaded over version 1.1.0.12.

Looks good.

I have also downloaded this 'leak' after seeing it on here last night

Downloaded immediately and works perfectly with no problems so far

I also like the new look of the twitter bird instead of the old t on the home screen

It works perfect for me. I simply downloaded the app right from the link here on CB and installed, rebooted, and everything is golden. Not sure why so many others are having a problem. I was running version 1.1.0.12 before.

Posted by duck383 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

not a bad ui update and used this all day instead of socialscope on my 9700 / os6 / .448
downloaded over .12 no key code needed so far.

I don't have access to a pc so can't use DM, tried installing .11 OTA then the beta. Still asking for code :( sucks!

Posted by josh05 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

I think i'll just wait for the official release because if i installed it OTA, then i find it ludicrous to require the assistance of a PC to get it working w/o a keycode.

Posted by Gnome Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

I have installed okay on my Torch (wasn't asked for a keycode). Just an idea but is this a touch screen only version? The only reason I suggest this is that one of the changes from 1.1.0.12 is the pull down refresh. This doesn't work when you use the trackpad it is only when you use the touch screen to drag the screen down that it refreshes. Has anyone using a Torch been asked for a keycode? I updated from version 1.1.0.12 and am running 9800/6.0.0.448.

Posted by jvictor77 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

No problems for me on 9800 - except that couldn't install from jad file. Had to do it OTA. No agreement, no code - it just worked. Yes....it refreshes tweets when you swipe down on home screen!

Posted by Vurhan Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

Had 1.1.0.12, logged in, never done Beta Zone before. Downloaded, battery pulled, ayokay. I'm not feeling the 'pull down to refresh' against the ios version though.

How do you install Twitter from Desktop manager???

Posted by apod22 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

keycode : /

Posted by LifeIsFR Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

I have tried this 3 times now and everytime it asks me for a code. I'm running os6 on a 9650 and I have official twitter and then I replaced with this and it won't let me in. Is there a universal keycode?

Posted by zamir112 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

You must have twitter version 1.0.1.11 installed, then download leak and install.. Battery pull and it works!!

Posted by bulls2213 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

i can confirm that installing the previous version through apploader/desktop manager and THEN installing the leak DOES work. thanks for the tips.

Posted by luismedina Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

This metod Works!!!!
1. Open Twitter for BlackBerry previous version .12 or .11) and leave it running in background
2. Download the leaked version from here: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?s=a1cf9ef6577116399e57a90661d6b123...
3. After instalation and in the stage where you are asked to reboot the phone select later.
4. Return to Twitter and write a random tweet
5. Take the battery out and wait until the device is restarted, open the new version of Twitter and voilá.

Hope this help

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

I've just tried this and it didn't work I'm afraid.

I really wanted it too.

I did get 3 tweet notifications. But the icon still gave me the terms and conditions followed by a keycode request.

Thanks anyway.

Posted by SC457 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

didn't work, still asked for a keycode

Posted by SlimGuy78 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

FINALLY ! haha i guess it does work when you do it through your app loader on your PC

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

Can you PLEASE explain how to do this as simply as possible?

I'm going mental here :(

Posted by bulls2213 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

1. delete whatever version of twitter you have on your phone & reboot if it asks you to.
2. open Apploader on your PC (C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\apploader.exe) and follow the instructions and check the box to install twitter. your phone will then probably reboot on its own.
3. install the leak from here and reboot again (annoying, i know). it then should work without having to accept any terms.

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

Gonna try this now. Do I just leave the box ticked for Twitter and untick the rest since that's already there?

Posted by tino6003 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

It worked! I followed your instructions step by step and you were right, no having to accept any terms, just went straight to signing in. Thanks =)

Worked like a charm. Finally. Follow these instructions if you want it to work. Thanks

Just installed Twitter .11 from apploader.

Do I need to open it and login before installing the leak???

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

Update: so I installed .11 from apploader but when my phone loaded up there was no Twitter on the phone at all.

Tried installing the leak and still got keycode problem :-/

Edit: In the device application selection, the Twitter box is ticked and can't be unticked, but the action says none. WHY!!!?

New logo is great and it updates very smoothly by scrolling down. I haven't had to put any key in yet.....keep ya posted! Good Luck

When you install twitter .11 from app loader, do you need to open it and/or login before installing the leak?

Bold 9000, cant find icon.

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

If you use BBSAK then delete the backups. I had this problem.

Posted by crigga84 Sunday, Feb 20, 2011 459 days ago

OK everyone, finally got mine working (My phone is a 9700 on OS 6.0.0.461) and decided to echo advice already given in simplest terms:

1) Go to Application Manager on your phone, search for Twitter and delete it. Reboot

2) If you use BBSAK then delete the backups from C drive>>BBSAK>>Back up. Delete files within back up folder.

3) Go to Program Files>>Common Files>>Research In Motion>>AppLoader and click on Loader. (This should be for the latest leak for the 9700: Platform 6,6,0.137)

4) Go through the process and click on the Twitter box to install version .11. This should go through Okay

5) Once installed, open up Twitter .11 and login. Close the app.

6) Install the leak and reboot. Hopefully it should now open.

I'm trying to upgrade from .11, and all it's saying is download failed. So weird. It installed last night, but then asked for a keycode. I'm not sure what to do now.

Running official OS 6 on a UK Voda 9700, had 1.1.0.12 installed and this installed perfectly ota. Smooth and fast...no complaints.

Posted by team_leader_alpha1 Monday, Feb 21, 2011 458 days ago

I had the same key code problem. I rolled back to version 1.1.0.14 (what came on Torch from ATT) and then installed OTA and it worked. No license agreement, no code needed.

Posted by BBalltheway Friday, Mar 04, 2011 448 days ago

I've done everything correctly and can't get past the keycode fiasco either! :( I can't tell you how much time I've wasted on this, much more than it's worth! I'll be uinstalling and going back to UberSocial. If Twitter doesn't fix this, they will be losing the greater share of it's users.

Posted by dsj3 Saturday, Mar 12, 2011 439 days ago

Way too much wasted time with this update. First update flawlessly on my Bold 9650 but I had to receive a replacement phone and I've experienced nothing but key code requests on multiple installation attempts after trying several methods posted. For a time I actually could not get even older versions to reinstall. After a completely wasted Friday night and part of my Saturday morning I finally got the original version to reinstall after several attempts using the desktop manager. I'm done with this one. Strange that this update works fine on some units and horribly on others.
