Bla1ze on 1 Jun 2009 05:21 am
Storm 9500 owners out there should be pleased to see this one, 4.7.0.151 has leaked online and is now available online for all too grab, of course again this is NOT an official RIM release of the OS so standard disclaimers apply. Be sure to share your findings in the CrackBerry forums. And all you 9530 owners, sit tight if the 9500 is showing up now history tells us the 9530 version is not far behind.
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). Follow the links below for more information and instructions. *

TwistedLIE Jun 1, 2009 at 9:48 am
Are you serious? Are you that extremely geeky and have the same geeky friends that really pick up your phone and navigate all through your settings to see if you have the "norm" firmware? Wow... what ever you need to make you feel better bro.

pacifichero Jun 1, 2009 at 8:07 am
Excellent Update
Twisterz Jun 1, 2009 at 8:09 am
So far so good, installed it about half an hour ago. It's sooooooooooo much quicker. Battery was at 100% & is now at 95% not sure if that's worse or better, only time will tell.
SuperableZeus Jun 1, 2009 at 10:06 am
Were you coming from .148 or a different OS?
kinggeoff Jun 1, 2009 at 8:42 am
colour banding is gone and there are some new slick transitions... cant wait for 9530 release
Riders On The Storm Jun 1, 2009 at 9:09 am
I can't wait for this to hit the 9530. I think this is interesting because it was reported that RIM had stopped working on any other 4.7 OS's. So maybe there will not be a straight jump to 5.0 for the 95XX series?
Taberry81 Jun 1, 2009 at 9:11 am
Where is the 9530 release??
iverhoob Jun 1, 2009 at 9:19 am
Ive uploaded this to megaupload for all those who dont like rapidshare

SAVJR Jun 1, 2009 at 12:28 pm
So many people had their panties in a bunch over the official .148 from Verizon and now another leak. HA HA.
pipotobe Jun 1, 2009 at 12:32 pm
Hey Bla1ze,
Seems to me like your hiding some stuff from us :)
What is that BB sofware that we see on your screenshot.
Is that 5.0 for the storm ?
gingerbastard Jun 1, 2009 at 12:35 pm
it works properly!!!! pressing the buttons on the front doesn't unlock anymore.
The fade in/out that some apps/folders only lasts a split second so isn't really watchable on a video.
does seem to be smoother and faster than .141
briankeith513 Jun 1, 2009 at 1:41 pm
yep,
I saw that too. I guess he isn't ready to leak 5.0 yet, no matter how much we want it, and regardless of the fact that the Bold and the 8900 already had 5.0 leaks lol
wpn00b Jun 1, 2009 at 4:01 pm
It looks like is says for 9000 os something like that. But the second number clearly is not a 5 as is 95xx...so yeah, no 5.0 for Storm yet.
pipotobe Jun 1, 2009 at 4:57 pm
Thanks for the precision. Seems to me that you're right the second number is not a 5.
wpn00b Jun 2, 2009 at 9:28 am
No problem! We are all anxious to see whats next. I don't know what was up with my spelling in that post though. "Is" should = "it" or "in" in a couple of places... glad you were able to make sense out of it though :)
Wow. Was it early? Maybe I was tired...
S.Trooper Jun 1, 2009 at 4:39 pm
5.0 update already available for the 8900? I'll take a wild guess that may be it!
313 Jun 1, 2009 at 10:37 pm
i found several megaupload link for this OS but all said:
The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable.
WTF???
manuelverax Jun 2, 2009 at 1:07 am
It´s better to wait and see.... but up to now looks to be working nice and smooth... I just installed it 2 hours ago and awesome... I can tell you that there is a performance increse in about 70%...
darrenjsmith1972 Jun 2, 2009 at 3:17 am
In the UK we have only just had the official .141
is this worth the risk
williamkemp350 Jun 2, 2009 at 12:13 pm

makya53 Jun 3, 2009 at 10:09 am
