Leaked: OS 7.1.0.258 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810

OS 7.1.0.258 has leaked for the BlackBerry Torch 9810. This is an unofficial (leaked) OS, so while it's mostly safe to install, remember to use caution when updating your device. carry a charger in your purse, buy an extra battery, etc, etc.

Uhh mean horrible man. .205 was crappy compared to .190 and Mecca's .163 hybrid (which I'm currently running) in terms of battery life. I'm getting a full day (14 hours) on moderate usage which is pretty amazing if you ask me. Hopefully some good news with this one.

First time I have had this happen. I downloaded and then clicked the icon to install it and get an error message. Lord love a duck...back to downloading again.

I did a google search and have downloaded this update from other sites and links. No matter where I go, the same problem occurs at the install stage. Looks like it came from RIM corrupt.

There are hardware changes that don't allow it to run - Magnetometer and such. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackBerry_Torch_9810

I thought they were developing OS 6.5 for all the OS 6 devices though.

That download link shows Ilivid service. My AV (ESET NOD 32) throws serious alerts with that. Is there a place to get these leaks without having to install malware?

Best build so far for mine. Battery is much better, touch screen is more responsive.
