Leaked: OS for the BlackBerry Torch 9810

By Bla1ze on 24 Aug 2011 07:36 pm EDT

BlackBerry 7 Leak

If you're proudly rocking a brand new BlackBerry Torch 9810 you might want to grab your USB cable and give OS a try. While we're not exactly sure what has changed in this update, it's new and we like new things. As always, make sure you back up your data first and heed the warning below.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT a.n official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

Another one!? I can barely keep up! woo hoo!

The 6.0 devices seem to have been forgotten. Hopefully ill have time to upgrade my device to the 9810 friday. Don't think ill be winning any of these contest for the phone I want. Haha

I LOVE this phone and I can't find a compelling reason to risk upgrading to a leaked OS. Can anyone who has taken the leap of faith provide some insight?

Oh grate! another so happy something new to try, every 2 Days a new leak would be awesome!
Keep it up RIM!

Why can't I update my phone's OS?
I just unlocked it too.
P.S.: This isn't my first rodeo and I have heard that there are multiple Vendor files that need to be deleted (not just one). Any clues?

So far so good. One item I noticed. My Enterprise Inbox is now called "Desktop". Everything else seems to be identical to previous build. Would be interested to see a change log.
