BlackBerry Bold 9930's have barely had time to get the devices out of the box and into their hands and already, have a leaked OS ready and waiting for them. Of course, we don't know what excatly has changed within this OS. It could be for better or it could be for worse -- either way, it's there should you decide you want to give it a go. Standard disclaimer applies. Thanks, Rroyy!
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

Oiy, I just booted it not that long ago! Time to upgrade...
Bla1ze Aug 16, 2011 at 5:45 pm
You don't have to upgrade you know, lol. Just sayin'.. just because a leak exists doesn't mean you should skip over trying the stock OS first. :)

I just got mine delivered and booted up for the first time. I think I'll give my body a rest. Too much excitement for one hour. I'll be very interested in the comments of those who have the inclination to install the leak.

Also I'm glad to say that so far the initial, stock OS release for OS7 was miles and miles better than the Torch OS6 was....

For those of you who are already upgrading your Bold 9930 OS, please keep the rest of us on AT&T in your prayers.

i used the device switch wizard. BIG MISTAKE! Now i have missing CODs and VZW doesn't have he stock OS available. Thanks CB ... clutch leak here
sharkfab Aug 17, 2011 at 11:49 am
Am I the only one who thinks his snarky remark "Thanks CB..." to be disturbing?
Last I checked, CB goes through great lenghs of posting warnings, "at your own risks" on each leak so that only the brave (or crazy? :P) may venture into attempting the leaks.
Adel, I hear your frustration, perhaps you should look into the mirror before taking it out on the messenger with the big warning label on.
/rant done

the cursor jumps around, mostly to the left (no pun intended)... as if the track ball has a mind of its own...
chaptervstaind83 Aug 17, 2011 at 1:24 am
I've noticed my trackpad does the same thing especially on a webpage when I'm on the bottom of the page and try 2 use the trackpad 2 go up....it goes crazy and even zooms in and out on the page when I try and just go up.
Has any1 downloaded this OS leaked?? If so please post some results. Thanks a bunch

Why would they release the 9930 with NO 4G capability!! My understanding is that the 9900 on AT&T does have 4G. WTF RIM!!
Gadsden1405 Aug 17, 2011 at 9:38 am
Well, I tried loading it onto the 9930 with app loader and it says "not compatible", suggestions? .... I'm not really interested in "4G" because it isnt really "4G".
