*UPDATE* - Check out this post in the forums for the exact details of what this is. It uses official files but no installer was given so one had to be created. You can decide for yourselves if that makes it official or a Hybrid.
*UPDATE 2* - If you weren't happy about having a non-signed RIM installer file you can now grab the official RIM installable file from here. Thanks to Verizon and of course, @theiexplorers
All of you BlackBerry Bold 9650 owners out there will be happy to see that OS 6.0.0.431 has leaked for your devices tonight! Word has it you're likely looking at bug fixes and minor app updates in this one. If you were waiting for a new OS for your 9650 or if you are a hybrid builder, you can download it from the link below! Let us know in the comments what fixes you see if you choose to install this leak. Take caution however, you must have OS .333 or .415 installed before you can upgrade to .431 as noted by the source.
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is
NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our
CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS).

At last!!!! It was about time you guys!!!!
SplinterCell Jan 23, 2011 at 2:54 am
Hopefully the volume controls work via Bluetooth in this build. .415 doesn't work (for me), but .333 does. Kind of important to leave out of an official release.
SouthernProper Jan 23, 2011 at 2:55 am
Maybe one day before I die ill see an official release on Verizon for OS.6. But I'm not gonna hold my breath.
bunzxxx Jan 23, 2011 at 2:55 am
just wait for bold 9700.. yeeaahhhh!!
bovcrx Jan 23, 2011 at 3:01 am
they need to put the browser option back on OS6 cuz that's keeping me from being able to use my OS6 9650 on tmobile. I have to use 5.0 to use web and we all know that browser blows........ sad day
nodrogkam Jan 23, 2011 at 3:43 am
alrighty...giving this a shot. thanks for keeping me up late on a saturday night!
wojtas25 Jan 23, 2011 at 3:46 am
Its not leak, its a hybrid OS! Im mad, i dont like hybrids :(
nodrogkam Jan 23, 2011 at 3:50 am
yeah ur right...i'll still try it tho.
skyboxer Jan 23, 2011 at 4:05 am
Then I take it the radio file isn't .431. All the java is.
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:51 am
That radio that is in the installer is the new 1 its platform .315 the last builds we had .314 this the real deal believe me
green_ember Jan 23, 2011 at 4:08 am
Seriously? I was hoping for something that would fix my crappy phone call quality. Sounds like a blown speaker!
TheMiz Jan 24, 2011 at 10:03 am
Had that problem before, I had to change a setting , it was on Bass Boost.
yeahboyyy Jan 23, 2011 at 4:33 am
Since when does CB try to pass hybrids off as a fully leaked OS? The writer's first clue should have been when she was told you had to have 415 or 333 to upgrade. You never need a certain OS to upgrade to a new one.
Bla1ze Jan 23, 2011 at 8:58 am
It was passed off as an official OS by the source as well and since we didn't test it, it got posted as such (no mention was made of the installer being created for it). That said, post has been updated to reflect that it is a build that uses official files with a work around installer, you can decide what that makes it.. Official or Hybrid. As for clues of it being a hybrid, clues aren't much help when you've never even LOOKED at how a Hybrid is installed before.
nodrogkam Jan 23, 2011 at 5:04 am
Well i haven't tested everything, but it seems to leave a bit more free space on the unit and works just fine. my main apps i use still work. sleep time!
ibiza.ben Jan 23, 2011 at 5:19 am
Another leak for the 9700 as well at some point today (Sunday) or within the next few days... There hasn't been in a while!
Wonder which major network are going to be the 1st to release it as well, my network 3UK originally said by end of January but now that's changed to the mid February...
mythdraug Jan 23, 2011 at 8:33 am
Fail. A leak would have the official installer. This has been ripped from a device and packaged by someone outside RIM. As others have said, this is much closer to a hyrid than a leak.
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:53 am
It was repackaged so wouldn't cost somebodys job for leaking it but look at all the files its .431 n the radio is the 1 which goes with the .431 build its platform .315
When we had .415 from sprint that radio was platform .314 so install it I've been running since last nite on my sprint 9650 btw this is a verizon build if u need ptt
kidmac13 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:00 am
i've never installed a hybrid OS (not for any particular reason). how different is it installing one as opposed to a normal leak or official update?
beavercountyemt Jan 23, 2011 at 9:01 am
But it's not a hybrid.
yeahboyyy Jan 23, 2011 at 5:46 pm
It absolutely is a hybrid.
scuebydue Jan 24, 2011 at 9:41 am
It's not a hybrid
geminiqueen83 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:39 am
HELP!!!! How do you install the Hybrid????
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:55 am
U need to have .415 or the old .333 installed it'll loaded the java folder n the radio into the directory u send it to
geminiqueen83 Jan 23, 2011 at 5:23 pm
I have the .333 installed and I've downloaded this link for the .431 but I do not know anything about "shrinking on OS" or about hybrids. If anyone has Step by Step directions it would be helpful.
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 9:59 am
Idk y everyone is whining that it doesn't have an official installer does it matter its the real deal there's a reason it wasn't the real .exe it can cost some1's job for just letting the the .exes float out there y do u think we don't see a lot of leaks ne more. To install it have .415 or .333 install the installer will put in all the .431 files and the radio (for those saying it was pulled off a phone) and that's it idk how to help u guys every thing else is smooth sailing
Culex316 Jan 23, 2011 at 10:11 am
Seriously, all this bitching because it wasn't included in an official installer, geez
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 11:37 am
Agreed just install the damn thing
csalas14 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:11 pm
can you tell me how to install it step by step i don't know how to please?
acastro516 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:44 pm
Sure 1st u install .415 on the pc after that u install the .431 exe it asks u to select where to install .415 is an option so select that after that shrink a os pops up if ur a novie user I'd just close it out... But u use loader to load it as if it were any other os pin:323649AB if you need me I'm here to help or mention me on Twitter @Andres516
yeahboyyy Jan 23, 2011 at 5:53 pm
No one is complaining that it doesn't have an official installer. We are complaining that it is being passed off as a real OS (leaked or official) when in fact it is nothing more than a hybrid. And we don't see a lot of leaks anymore? Leaks are posted here and at bbleaks (or whatever they are now) all the time. A real OS has never required a certain OS be loaded onto a phone before it can be loaded. If the OS were real, one could update from 5.0.0.whatever or any other OS, as long as the OS is compatible to the phone. The fact that you need .333 or .415 should tell you this is nothing more than a JAVA folder replacement "OS".
itsdollar Jan 23, 2011 at 11:44 am
Works fine and is not a hybrid.
csalas14 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:10 pm
can you tell me step by step how to install it? please
yeahboyyy Jan 23, 2011 at 5:55 pm
Yes it is
BayouBengal21 Jan 23, 2011 at 11:52 am

csalas14 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:06 pm

manny715 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:07 pm
hello i have intall the 4.15 i have verizon 9650 will this os will work on my verizon bb thank you
sapphire917 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:18 pm
I Actually Have The Same Question.....Will The Blackberry Desktop Auto Detect This??
I've Never Tried To Download Anything Like This But I'm Sure Its Harmless To All That's Complaining....The Person Who Posted It Didn't Try To Mislead Anyone In Any Way And Was Very Adamant In Saying Try It At Your Own Risk After Giving All The Details...
Now Me, Personally, I Don't Know Anything About Leaks And Hybrids But If This .431 Plays The Sprint Music Store I'll Definitely Try It.
nodrogkam Jan 23, 2011 at 12:27 pm
my camera is still taking photos with random "dead pixel" lines sometimes. sigh. it doesn't happen with OS5.
csalas14 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:27 pm
what the hell is a hyrid?
sk8er_tor Jan 23, 2011 at 1:54 pm
You guys should update http://crackberry.com/blackberry-os to reflect this. Still shows .333 as the latest unofficial OS.
mdjones21 Jan 23, 2011 at 3:08 pm
Yeah I don't eff with hybrids.
ray142 Jan 23, 2011 at 4:34 pm
Nice, im downloading now, Can't wait to install!
Pooman Jan 23, 2011 at 8:39 pm
This is in FACT a Hybrid, if it is not a straight OS and it has a different radio than an official, than it makes it a Hybrid. The fact is that if you own a BB and you have never ran a Hybrid on it, you are missing out! The only reason you should ever run a stock OS is if it is the only thing out there, however, this never happens. Suck it up, get with the program. There are so many people here that can help you, just ASK! Love my 9650 Hybrid .415/.431!
scuebydue Jan 24, 2011 at 9:44 am
It's not a hybrid. The exe had to be extracted this way so that the person releasing it wouldn't get traced.
rkopsie Jan 24, 2011 at 1:54 am
Soooo I like how everyone is getting leaks and officials - but does anyone know when an official release is coming for the Verizon Tour??.. pin:30B02EB7 :(
scuebydue Jan 24, 2011 at 9:49 am
Tour won't be getting OS6
infidelis Jan 24, 2011 at 2:46 pm
running OS6 on my bold now for about a month. runs great. i am having 1 minor issue - everytime i try to use font smoothing, it will activate but when i go to reset the device, it defaults back to the 'off' position. anyone else notice this issue?
JohnA1A Jan 24, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Do I need other 6.0 leaks to instal this one like .333 or just install it I'm tired of Verizon's Lag!
embalmfirst Jan 24, 2011 at 9:11 pm
Hey Guys, this maybe a silly question, but I don't have access to the internet at this time except for my bb 9650. Is there anyway I can get the leak without the internet???
ARM2k5 Jan 24, 2011 at 10:21 pm
I'm confused about update #2. Why does it say thanks to Verizon? I'm assuming they mean that someone inside Verizon assisted in leaking this OS and if so, is this the OS that will be officially released for the 9650?
cdf3 Jan 24, 2011 at 10:59 pm
Just installed. So far I like it. It seems faster than .415 I kept having lag issues with .415 for some strange reason.
This is one is running smooth so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.
shifferj Jan 25, 2011 at 3:34 am
Am I missing the boat here? OS 6.0 for the Verizon 9650 hasn't been released yet but there's an official update for OS 6.0 from Verizon?!?! Stop the madness and please update my OS Verizon!!!
takuma089 Jan 25, 2011 at 6:49 am
Should I update to this? Or Stay with .415?? Just downloaded the OS from my BlackBerry took about 12mins to finish and now wondering if i should upgrade or not.
takuma089 Jan 25, 2011 at 7:48 am
Update: Just upgraded to .431 used apploader and took about 45mins. First Impressions It feels snappier and the browser feels fast and it registers to the wireless network FAST! not like .415 that I'm experiencing BIS and Browser Issues. Battery Life? Will give it a day or 3 to observe it :D
illinicb Jan 25, 2011 at 9:03 am
I downloaded the update, but it went to my media card and I'm not sure how to find it. Doh!
Any help would be appreciated.
