BlackBerry Curve 9330

Another day of BlackBerry 6 leaks? Hey, we can hope. Either way, BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 owners this one is all yours. OS 6.0.0.357 is now available for download. You guys know what to do. Back up your data before you load this one up and of course, let us know what's fixed and broke in the comments or in the forums.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

And I just installed an older leak the other day for my sister's brand new 9330. VZW should just make it official already.

What no Bold 9700 Leak- typical! Come on RIM!

HAHAHA, kidding- enjoy this Curve owners!

Why was the 9650 the first to get an OS6 leak yet now we have the lowest?

    mckillio

People act like the OS updates are made at a manufacturing plant and aren't going to have any stumbling blocks. It has the lowest because the team working on it hasn't released it yet.

Apparently you didn't see the downpour of OS leaks last week, pretty much all OS6 devices got one within two or so days.

downloaded and ran it on my 9330 and so far everything is running much smoother, the inital reboot took only 7 minutes, and finally some annoying glitches were fixed, namely the lack of some feature in the broweser. everything is running SUPER smoothly, and i'm very pleased. im restoring my 3rd party apps and im completely satisfied

I was told RIM was going to release an update to the OS6 Software for the Bold 9650 well before the current release of the new bold. Does anyone have a clue if there is a date planned for an approved release of the OS6 for the rest REST of us loyal bberry fans and advocates? I'm starting to feel as if I've wasted years.Does anyone have any valid info, Anyone??

You should probably ask in the Bold 9650 forums and not the Curve 9330 leaked OS article.

Since the 9650 and 9330 are in the same boat, his question is in a valid place.

To all those who were able to download and install this OS on their phone successfully, are there any horrible memory leaks on this phone like the Bold 9700 or not?
    Just...curious

Ok I am downloading now, I will be editing my posts as I use the leak.

My findings in 6.0.333 are as follows:

    1) Very laggy and slow.

    2) In browser I set my google as homepage, when I load my browser it says incorrect HTTP:/

    3) When on speaker phone AND in Pandora, when I go to press ANY button the volume lowers. When I pause my music in pandora and replay it, it goes back to normal. When on speaker, I lower my volume and return it to where it was, it goes back.

Has #3 happen to anyone? Is there a permanent fix?

You know the leak is .357 not .333

    kevindel21

Yes I do, I am posting about the old leak. I will be posting about the new ones soon, I just posted about the old ones to see if anyone knows if those got fixed.

Ok so the load time is not that bad. I can not upgrade my shortcutme tho, blackberry app world is giving me message 3300 so I restarted my phone and will test. Everything is smoother and faster now. I am still getting the error and it is making me mad lol. I will test the speaker phone issue I had and will report later.

Loaded this on my friends 9330. It was faster than OS5, both in performance and booting. Rebooted 3 times and it just got better each time.

I have the 8900 and now I really want to get an OS6 phone. Now if you can only be allowed to add and delete pages.

    Skezza

Does seem quicker though. Did loose some of my settings after upgrading, but soon sorted and had to re enter my reg numbers for some programs

I had a problem with locking the phone when i would hold the A button, when i would hold the A button to lock it, it wouldnt lock. it would type out the A, and sometimes would lock, it was 50/50. i wonder if that got fixed and if anybody else had that problem.. but so far so good, its working out great.

    markhunsaker

I haven't had that problem. But what I have done, is I assigned my left convience key to "lock" my device. I don't use the A key at all.

    OZALLCAPS

I have no lock issues and I don't really notice any major or even minor differences. But!!! When I go to youtube some videos don't work (content is bolcked or server is unresponsive) wtf! And the videos that do load are choppy and pixelated! Help if you can!

    Imayam

    You're pretty much screwed..
