BlackBerry Curve 8900 OS 5.0.0.93 Found Online!

AT&T's booth at WES had a BlackBerry Bold running OS 5.0.0.93 on it, so it's only fitting that you can too! If you're using a Bold or 8900 and want to get a taste of 5.0, you can follow the links below. Be sure to read through the forums... not all apps are going to work on 5.0 at this time, so you may not want this on your daily driver. Enjoy!!

I guess, that "what....no...." doesnt mean anything good? Anyone actually updated? Is this OS any different from the beta that CB forum Bold users use for a few weeks now?

I'm a storm owner as well, but keep in mind that the storm has had a huge number of leaks since launch. Also keep in mind that by the time any carrier has put out an official, we've already had the leak for quite some time.

Browser MUCH faster, picture flip is very convienent (and cool),no more "thinking" black hourglass,more options for alerts etc. This is a true upgrade not just a small update in builds. Duane

I tried the earlier leak of 5.0 a few weeks ago, and while this version cured some of the glitches, some of the web-centric apps still didn't work, and it crashed every time I tried to connect to my BT headset, so its back to .247 for me. Hope springs eternal.

first OS upgrade for me since purchase - much better performance overall of course... both browers (BB & Opera Mini) seem quicker... wi-fi speed test results below...

I too tried the previous 5.0 leak and it was soooo unstable I downgraded IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. This one, so far, seems much more stable. Knock on wood no crashes yet and most of my apps seem to be working. Still strange on this and the last 5.0 - AIM disappeared and I can find hide nor hare of it. IM+ seems to be just fine however. Going to play with this one for a while...

can't comment on the IM apps as I only use BB IM and didn't load all the others (who the heck still uses ICQ anyway??)

I normally use my bold as my music player for my aux in my car, and with 5.0.0.93 music either comes out of the handset(like if ur talking to someone on the phone) or the buil in speakers, but not through the headphone jack, now i did not test with blackberry headphones could be a propitiatory thing goin on but i already downgraded to .237 as facebook didnt work and i really liked that one on the plus side, browser, pictures and menus were alot faster and snappier, so wait and see!

Since I downloaded this app, I get error msgs for my camera,tetherberry, all of the radio apps but everything else is working but I am going to wipe this one and go back

This leak version is much better, to all the viigo lovers out there all you have to do is uninstall it then reinstall and it works great. Facebook still doesn't have the icon but I still receive email updates from facebook. And I log on from the messages. Music player is now better, as well as browser I dnt get a error like the previous 5.0. I'm loving the new os can't wait for the official release

i cant get my bluetooth to pair when i put in the pass key it restarts my phon. i didnt have that problem with 5.0.90 can anyone help it would be greatly appreciated

Folks do you all updated the Facebooko 1.5 Applications?

I havent tried this OS but hearing that the facebook apps is not working in this one hinders my intention to try it out.

I also have tons of other apps and use both Opera Mini and Bolt browsers on my OS .247

Yep, same issues with browser, FB and other programs not working. Will keep an eye out and hope they release this update into the wild soon.

Hi, I like to try new things, so I installed 5.0.0.190 (platform 5.2.0.11), I tell you, I soo like it, good solid and stable, no crashes at all. I only dislike the BB MSG 5 becasue I got the AppWorld version that's old, but I'm looking for the new one.

My question is:

Why does most of the pics show Platform 4.x.x.x not 5.x.x.x ? Isnt the Platform part of what the upgrade should be?

It didn't work.... it says the update is 4.6... which is what I already have. It's not 5.0
