Leaked: OS 5.0.0.797 For the BlackBerry Storm 9530

Right on, I'm a Bold 9650 guy myself. And I would hate to break the news to you if you were a 9530 owner hoping for BB6. Although you'd basically have to be living under a rock to think there was any chance of that.

About every two months or so, I wipe and reload my OS about every two months or so.

i just finished reloading, like, three minutes ago.

In any case, I'm stoked about this leak. at least my backups are already finished. Time to reload!!!

Wow, a 9530 Storm leak. My Storm is fine without it. It is under the rear leg of my couch keeping it level and guess what? No battery pull since it's been there the last 2 months! Keep updating your poor old Storm 1 folks. Keep kidding yourself. Blackberry is junk and the only people carrying them are business people who are forced to and the ignorant masses that don't know better.

Oh, good. another use-my-old-storm-to-keep-my-couch/bed/table-level joke.

Your humor is even less original than what you think the Storm is.

For the record, my Storm 1 is awesome. With it I can blow most people away in speed & accuracy typing on any mobile device of their choice.

I learned how to use it as an extremely efficient tool to streamline my work and personal lives. I also am heavily involved in a few different non-profit organizations. My Storm helps me keep it all organized and helps me be an effective and available communicator.

penultimately invaluable is how I am able to use the MicroSD card to store Word and Excel documents and read them from my Storm. I often am called to recite data and information that I now always have conveniently at my fingertips.

My utilization of my Storm is my choice. I am not forced into anything. I am not ignorant, and I do know better! In fact, I know better to the point where I can get full use out of my phone without letting peer pressure and clever marketing make me feel bad about what I own.

Now take your overused smug joke and choke on it.

I couldn't believe how well my storm kept up with my cousins Motorola droid and how well the battery life on my storm is, my storm was doing fine until we got to the browsers I was destroyed.

I like my Storm since .328. What a beautiful screen, with about 15 apps on it is as fast as I can keep up with. Anything I can't do on it is probably something I want to sit down at the desk for anyway... Perhaps those always slam this phone have not tried one since the OS came around? For a 1.5 year old phone I think it's doing great! I will install this version if it sounds like there's any significant improvements but there's nothing the phone actually 'needs' any more.

Works great so far. Can't quite see what difference between this and .591 is so far but NO Camera Glitch as reported is .685

Us Storm 1 users will not be lucky enough to get a 6.0(too much memory required) update so this is better than nothing

it onto my Storm 1 since it had the .328 and it seems to have made my keyboard look different which is nice, added the option to show what letters you're typing like iPhone (although this has already been known in other leaks and prob newer devices). But I have mostly noticed faster screen changes. Hey better than .328 was I guess. Hehe. They better keep the Storm line. I think OS6 is going to be a HIT with a realllly faster Storm. Full potential is what RIM needs. Show what the STORM is REALLY about because a STORM is not weak. It's POWERFUL. They better get a hint!

I bet that RIM is unloading all the 9530s that they couldn't sell in the US, to China. Why else would they even bother with firmware updates? If they were already deployed the development would be abandoned; that's the Chinese way (trust me, this is not bigoted, I have first hand experience in China.) Once the stock of phones is gone they will start unloading the 9550s, probably about the same time the Storm 3 drops with BB6 support and no one will touch the Storm 2 anymore. Mark your calendar!

Ive noticed in this release, you can't do an event log erase for the 9530. ( ie, Alt, ", ?, ", /)
