Tour owners are on a roll now with leaked OS'. This is the second one in just a few short days. Here we have OS for you all to check out. Since I'm not a tour user, I really can't speak to how well it works but I'm sure you'll find some information in the CrackBerry forums from users who have loaded it already. Give it a shot, just be sure to back up your data first folks.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). Follow the links below for more information and instructions. *

Leaked: OS For The BlackBerry Tour 9630

Who'd have figured, huh? Nothing but junk since .419, then two in two days. And my .643 is just settling in, too. This one may have to wait a few days. Is there any word as to what's changed from .643?

No it doesnt have PTT, but if you plug in to desktop manager and let it check for upgrades PTT pops up to let you install it.

PTT does not work with this release. I tried installing thru DM and APP Center and getting uncaught exception. Any ideas?

is anyone else experiencing their calendar responding really slowly? I noticed it with .643 and this new one .662

I installed .643 over the weekend and yes - I have the slow calendar too. But, I remembered from reading another post her somewhere that if you change "show free time" in agenda view to "yes" it resolves the problem. I tried it, and sure enough, it does. Really, that's not an option I want turned on, but I can live with it. Give that a try and see if it does the trick.

I'm skeptical about loading a leaked OS and I had a couple of questions. How are my apps going to work with the new OS? Also, whats has everyone found in the way of problems with this version?

I can see why you would be worried, I was too. All of your current apps should work fine, only once did Shazam stop working on a newer version and that has been fixed. As far as updating OS's I would highly recommend especially if you are coming from 4.7. I was skeptical at the time but now wish I had done it even earlier. Hope that helps

I enjoy 5.0 but the release Verizon put out is shaky at best, I'm surprised with how picky they usually are that they let such a sloppy release come out on their device. I can hope something will be official for Verizon in the coming weeks, the click issue is starting to become annoying and my signal meter is up and down all day and some days my battery is good and other days it tanks.

does anyone know if iheart radio and quick pull work with this build? I've had to stay with .419 becouse of this.

Has anyone not been able to use Pandora since downloading .643 or .662, since I've downloaded these leaked OS' Pandora loads up fine but it just stays on starting "_____" radio screen and never plays. eventually it says cant stream music check network or something like that. But it worked on .484 fine??? I'm on US Cellular so I know Pandora isn't officially supported but why would it work before and not now???

I'm on .643 platform .284 and I have had no troubles with pandora or Quicklaunch. This is a great build. I'm on VZW though so maybe US cellular is different

Load windows through bootcamp for just such an occasion. Have it on my imac. As great as the mac is, there are still a few things i can only do on windows.....like this!

happy with the one that leaked a couple days ago.. actually more than happy.. my tour seems more Curve like now.. but faster:) (by that i mean, rock solid stable like my curve's where.

everyone is asking but i would like too know hows the battery life and signal meter are they strong.

I loaded this on my bb and now I don't have the default browser installed anymore. anyway to get it? i have a sprint tour btw.

edit: ignore this. i loaded .643 not .662

Mine is on and running good! All of my apps work and no browser click!!! And no mms issues at the end of calls and txts so far :). browser seems quick too! Much better then 591 so far.

Outside of the missing PTT (don't care) this release is the cats meow for this user. Finally a BROWSER that works!

Both of the latest releases have been great. This newest .662 is even a little faster for me. Navigating through the phone, boot up time, browser, all faster, and the browser click issue is fixed. It also freed up some memory and gives more battery life. I am very happy with it, and am using it on a Sprint Tour. This should get us all through to when the Bold is released :)

This seems to work great for me just no PTT option though. I still have yet to use it prior of update nobody i know wants to do it! anyways good so far!

I want to try this with Sprint but will someone tell me if Sprint TV works? Last time I used a leak it didn't work until official version came out! Is this better than Sprint current official version as far as anyone can tell?

I am watching some free scooby doo on sprint tv, with this leak, as I am typing this. Everything works great, and fast.

upgrading to this one from .643? That one's working great for me; I'd hate to install this one and immediately regret it.

I'm sticking with 643 too. I don't think installing this release will turn my BB into a Cray super computer.

Been running the slingbox app (for the bold) through many leaks and finally it seems solid on this one. Used to run for about 10 seconds than freeze up (video). Everything else seems to be working well, including Shazam. Yesssss. Will probably be camping on this one for awhile.

I saw that you are Slinging on this leaked version? Are things still working good especially changing channels, freezing etc????

Sorry a bit late to the party... the file name is 9630AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1123_PL4.2.0.303_A5.0.0.662 (Verizon).exe ... google it and you can find some links.

I'm on Verizon's latest official, .591, platform, which fixed "some" of the mouse click issues, but KILLED BB Maps. Verizon can't fix that, BB can't fix that, so I'm hoping this rev let's me add it back!

Any news on Maps with this rev? Looking fwd to downloading it

this is so much better than vzw release! i was totally scared of loading a leaked os, but this is sooo much better than the crap vzw pushed on us!!! I've been running for a day and love it!

My battery has drained significantly since loading this OS. Also there's a lot of memory leak. I have my memory booster set to boost every 10min and it recovers an average of 2mb to 10mb. Which I think is a lot to have to recover in such a small amount of time???
Zero browser click issue which at least this is good
I am on verizon so I dunno if I got a bad link or messed up the install??
Please tell me someone saw this????

My BB keeps restarting since I loaded this os. Anyone else experiencing this?! It's so frustrating because it isn't consistently. It never did this before...

You mentioned this official version multiple times. Please let us know where to get it. I sure couldn't find it on the RIM website. Thanks.

Excellent OS. Fixed browser clicking issue, and I'd swear that pages are loading twice as fast. And the battery life seems to be a bit longer, although it has never been an issue for me. Drops 10-20% from 7AM to 10PM, with maybe 30 minutes of use on average.

It shifts around from server to server... the filename is:
9630AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1123_PL4.2.0.303_A5.0.0.662 (Verizon).exe

Google it and you'll see it a few places.
