Been a while since we seen a Storm OS leak. The folks over at BerryReview got their hands on OS 5.0.0.484 for you all to check out. If you got a 9500 and plan on loading this up, be sure to leave some comments here and in the forums on how it's working out for ya. As always, caution advised as it is a leaked OS and be sure to back up your data.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. Which OS are you running? I'm on .451 Hybrid and have not had a single issue. Can't say the same for my old Storm 1. LOL

will someone leak something for the Storm 2 9550!!!! the storm 1 is as good as dead. forget leaking for this phone! all i can say is the Storm 2 better have some crazy improvements for this next leak!

Ummmmm....remember alot of people do still own the original storm series (9500/9530) In fact, more than that of S2 owners. Why are you harping for upgrades to a device that has some pretty significant hardware upgrades compared to our original models? At least let us catch up a little with some better software.

The most comments after a leak are" Will this work on my....? Why wont they make one for my..... How do I put this on my..... I tried using DM but it doesn't see the upgrade.... " Wow people don't read much do they? Sorry I guess I had a bad day but it's the same thing every single time! People, it's a leak for the 9500 PERIOD !!!

The CDMA version like from Verizon is the 9530

For all the ppl that won't be able to load this leaked OS. Search your computer for all the vendor.xml files and not just the one u see in apploader.

Because it is VERY different on the inside, and this one doesn't have the drivers for those parts that aren't the same, like the antenna and s'on...

I’ve downloaded and installed on my Storm 9500. Works seamlessly. Tried all core and third party apps with the firmware and no glitches. Everything runs smoothly! Upgraded from 4.7 to this version. Improvements include, battery life (has made it WAY better!), quickness of scrolling, closing and opening apps is quicker. Overall….it has made the Storm BETTER!! Recommend to those wanting to upgrade! :-D

I am using Strom 9500 which is unlocked and can be used with any Service provider. So if i upgrade to 5.0 will it be the same scenario or i need to again unlock it for any SIM .
Please let me know.
