I only downloaded .415 the day before yesterday... I think I'm going to wait a bit before doing another one. .415 has been pretty solid after an initial boot-up issue.

Yet another leak for the 9700! Where are the 9550 leaks? Are they even working on the known bugs, issues and glitches in .320? Things that you go hmmmmmm...

Glad I don't have the Tour, lol. However, I do have the storm 2 though and starting to feel neglected. Where's the leaked version for the 9550.

God people need to get over it. When a NEW phone comes out MANY leaks come out for it at first .. and then … THEY MAKE A NEW PHONE and leaks come out for that new phone. IF you have an old Blackberry and it's OVER a year old… then I'm sure they stopped working on the OS as much. ….

I wish I could YELL AT Every person who cries when they don't have a leak for there phone.. get over it!

THIS IS BS! I'm sick and tired of looking at leaks for the 9700 and 8520 and 9520, Give me a break. These gsm leaks and lack of love for cdma phones really has burned my backside

What's going on here? It won't get past the Loading Device to ROM part. It says it can't connect to my phone. Anybody else experiencing this?

Seem's 5.0.0.303 has leaked for the TOUR... Maybe now all the Tour users will stop whining???

Anyway, back to updating my 9700 to 5.0.0.421 - Absolutely loving the leak shower at the moment!

Non-9700 users.. really, please move back to your forums and scream there. Why waste out time?

Or.. sell you BB on eBAY and go buy a 9700. Those are your options.

Deffo agree with your comment, all the haters need to stop posting pointless comments, doesn't help anyone, when it leaks, it leaks, until then, hold tight!

Tour / Storm owners also do not realise the user base for both of those devices is tiny in comparison to that of other BBs. As the user base is smaller, the leaks are less. CDMA/handsets tied to one carrier per country are going to have a smaller user base compared to the likes of the 9700 which is out just about everywhere!

time downloading a new OS. I'm completely new to blackberry, and I am a Mac user. How do I do this??

This is the quickest OS so far, so fast.

It has also freed up a ton of space in my phones memory.

I just signed up with Crackberry; I've been following for some time now. I thank all the Vets for all the hook-ups!

At any rate, I finished the 421 install; OS does seem to be faster. I’m on an exchange server and it automatically reactivated me on my corporate Bes server; good stuff!

All apps seem to be running fine, tethering is working just fine, & web browsing seems to be faster too. However I didn’t notice any Memory gain like I did when I jumped to 415. and the boot up time is the same as 415.

I’ll post and new items I find.

Okay, so how do I upgrade to this OS? I downloaded it, installed it, restarted my PC, backed up my BB, went to App Loader, and then went to Update Software, It scanned, but it doesnt find the new OS to load.

Please Help.

fastest download times ive ever experienced. havent had enough time to play around with this build but have noticed my device boots up very fast on this build

yobeez, do you have another OS stored on your pc? if so delete the older OS and try app loader again< if not then disconnect from the internet and give it another go.

Just installed on AT&T and everything working ok, seems nice and fast.

Just downloaded over 3G going to load when I get home. Took about 30 min. Not bad for a cellphone.

Can anyone confirm this build supports 3G bands, which are 1, 4, and 8?

Okay I need someones expertise... I removed all previous blackberry OS's that i have installed on my PC by going to add/remove programs, i then uninstalled them all, and then restarted the PC. Then installed the new leak and then i go to app loader, update software, run the scan and it still doesnt pick up! Please Help...

I did one bat pull just to be safe all is well even all of my themes work. And all of my saved proggys havent tried quick pull ( do we even need it for these phones?)

I see a new icon, Audio Podcast, I am pretty sure I didnt install this app, and when I open it launches Camera and I cant close it.

I was able to successfully install 5.0.0.421. So far so good. It fixed issues we were having with drop calls, 3G stability and reboots. Did the upgrade from 330 to 421.

This version still has the SMS corruption problem

Anyone else lose access to their MicroSD card with this version? I had a pretty hard drop on the phone yesterday so I'm not sure if this was the OS update or physical damage. Tried both my current 16GB card and old 8GB card, no joy. Going to have to revert and see if the OS caused it.

After installing software I keep getting an error message regarding my faves. It says the picture is not a jpg, but it is. Any suggestions on how I can correct this issue. I keep downgrading back to .330 because it is such a hassle.

.421 works beautifully on my 9700 so far. i see more 3G stability. i'll still have to experiment with dropped calls. only problem is there's no japanese language support so i can't read/view anything in japanese. i don't care about inputting in japanese-wasn't expecting that but i would like to at least be able to read.

OS 5.0.0.421 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 works with Opera Beta 2.

also, the issue with contact names not showing up in sms messages has been corrected.

one change i noticed was in the options under the "messages". it give you the option to choose what you want to appear in the universal messages folder. in my case, it lets me choose out of gmail, yahoo, sms. so even though previously, it allowed me to separate sms/mms from the messages folder, this release allows you to both separate and appear in the messages folder.

then of course, you can choose to have your aim, bbm, facebook, call history appear in your messages folder as well but through your options setting elsewhere.

i am using 5.0.0.296 whenever i lock my phone, the loading clock starts to show. anyone has the same issue?

can't say anything bad about it downloaded and install right out of box. Only problem I found was on a 3rd party theme from my 8900.
