Gotta love our CrackBerry forums members. Just got an anonymous email from one of em who wishes to remain that way that OS 5.0.0.402 for the BlackBerry Storm 9500 is now up for grabs. No further information about the OS is available but it should be on par with the other releases of .402 we have seen. If that is indeed the case, should be pretty solid for you 9500 owners. You know how it is, disclaimer applicable, enjoy! Be sure to leave your comments here and in the forums folks!

Seeming as how Verizon does not make Operating Systems, they don't exactly leak them.

Seems to me like they're slowly leaking OS 5.0.0.402 for most devices! I REALLY hope the 8900 gets some love pretty soon!

Even tho I'm pretty satisfied with .348 at the moment but would still like to see some more love 8900's way!!

While I'm wishing, can the Holiday Santa Leak Gods just hook a BlackBerry up with some OFFICIAL OS 5.0 love!! :)

all this while ive been seeing the leaks for 9530 while this one is made for 9500. i wonder if leaks for 9530 can be used for 9500 and vice versa.

Another leak! Any comments on it? I'm currently using .328 and loving it! 5.0.0.216 was kinda weak but .328 made it all work properly... what will .405 have? I'll download it but wait till some courageous guy installs it and comments. LOL

Was told by a Verizon rep a couple weeks ago an official OS update for Storm 2 9550 on Verizon will be out December 16th...she said she just got an e-mail about it but that's all she knew - no word on what version...I hope she is right only problem I have with 9550 is Weatherbug not updating on the homescreen and having to send the service books after a battery pull to get the Yahoo e-mail icon...much better phone than Storm 1 (had it for 8 months and had 6 replaced luckily I was able to get a new Storm 2 for free because of the problems I had) hands down!

Could someone please tell me if it is safe to load this onto a 9530 ? I've heard the only difference between the 9500 and 9530 is the radio. If so, why wouldn't this work?
