I've got this downloaded now, waiting to hear from others if there are any significant changes good/bad before i load it. I'm currently on .314

UMA on this leak is horrible. On .314 UMA was very clear, now on this new leak there is interference and it sounds like VOIP on a very slow internet connection. I'm downgrading back to .314.

Can't wait to get home and look at this further!

Hopefully the battery life I was getting with 5.0.0.190/238 is back; I couldn't even make it a full day on 5.0.0.314. We'll see!

.314 was pretty stable and had excellent battery life for me on my unlocked TMO 8900. So far, this build installed without any issues, and no problems to report at this time. They have to be getting close to a final build on 5.0 I would imagine.

NOTE: Noticed I wasn't getting delivery confirmation on SMS messages and BBM. Did a battery pull, getting delivery confirmation on BBM, but not on SMS Text Messages.

Just updated a few hours ago on my Rogers 8900...so far everything seems very stable. Speed is as fast as .314, all apps are running well, the music player seems to be working quicker, next tracks come up very fast...not sure if that is just me paying more attention but regardless all is well. I was having problems connecting to UMA on .314 but .348 connected right away so I hope it stays that way. If I see anything different I will post again...cheers!

Some of the bugs I noticed were in the Media center. For example, when i would delete a video, sometimes it would not be removed from the list. 348 so far has fixed this.

Other issues I had were messages and Facebook messages not deleting. Hopefully this leak fixes them too.

Got it installed and I can already see some performance and visual improvements.

3 attempt at install. Each time loader tries to connect to boot ROM, the device continuously restarts and the install process dies here.

So far I can't see the difference between this and .314... :/

5.0.0.190 was giving me problems I don't know a thing atbout .314 . I can't wait till there is an official release. RIM hasn't had anything but 4.6 that I had and needed more.

Just installed it with no problems..smooth and quick!

For some reason, I couldn't get uma to work on .314. But .348 has fixed this! :) I'm a happy camper!

I've had 5.0.0.314 installed for about a week and a half and today it gave me app errors and wouldn't open txting and gave me a messaging error. Wiped and reinstalled. If only this leak came out a few hours ago. Haha. MyFaves disappeared which I don't really care about, wonder if they will show up with this version.

Stoked to get home to download and install this.

OS looks and runs smooth new theme with calender and message at home screen option...lots of new menus. maybe its just me but photos look sharper in preview mode. facebook and bbm work great! new options new look..cant wait till official release comes out! Nice good post crackberry!

I have tried 5.0.0.238, 314, and the newest .348 and all have worked well except for my phone overheating and not charging correctly or holding a charger for no more than a few hours. Am i doing something wrong???????

I had a great amount of lag getting into apps on .314, especially right after entering my unlock code...this one seems to be a bit quicker on that but I noticed that the "D" is no longer showing next to the check mark on delivered messages in threaded sms. I see it in bbm but not sms to any of my contacts conversations. Also upon install it loaded successfully but warned me that not all the componants of gmail were carried over, whatever that means and I don't use that anyway so.......? Just saying. :)

Is this OS gonna have the visual voicemail software?

Everything is working fine except Windows Live Messenger. Keep getting a message saying "Data Services Unavailable". Is anyone else getting this message on their device?

It installes easily. Seemed just like the previous leak. Setting a ringtone for when holstered still doesn't work. WLM works. Got problems with the phone app crashing whenever it tried to ring with previous release, so far that works so I'll be trying this one for a while

When updating there were no backing up of 3rd party apps and data. Be prepare. My docs to go went missing also games and memo.

DL's and installed last night. Everything (facebook, google talk, yahoo messenger, windows messenger, ESPN, score mobile. opera, ubertwitter, google voice, google maps) works great - it even fixed an issue I was having with both previous 5.0 betas. Doesn't feel like a beta anymore.

App world doesnt work and volume rocker doesnt work either on 348....can everyone confirm these two things so I know I didnt do anything nutty.

Almost everything works on my Curve. One thing doesn´t - if I am in sms and click "Next Unopened Item" the sms application freezes. It has to be restarted.

Oh and my memory is definitely lower

great update so far

.348 seems to be a really good build. I have rock solid UMA via Tmo. This build seems to be lightning fast opening apps and during navigation. For some reason, I can not get my SMS, MMS and Emails to show up in the messages box ( yes my theme has all in one box checked) but thats not a huge deal. Facebook, Google maps, BB App world, Weather network, CB launcher, Time news, AP news all work. Convenience keys work and my volume rocker works just fine. I have 108.5 MB of free space of memory so that seems fine as well. Overall I really like this build and the new BB them builder is very nice as well.

Although it took me nearly an hour to install due to error messages, everything is working great for me so far!

i was in the process of installing the new release and it went perfectly all the way until it was reinstalling the backed up data (which i assume to be address book etc) and it took a massive proverbial rear excrement and froze at that point....lets hope that it got most of the things done :)

I have mixed feelings about this build. The browser is very fast... the fastest yet. Facebook seems a bit touchy and Viigo doesn't work at all... it keeps locking up the 8900. I am not sure this is ready for prime time. I found the last Beta more stable and all of my Apps worked fine. Most likely will shift back to .314 and wait for another updated Beta.

Downloaded it last night and went from the 4.6 to 5.0. It took a very long time, and reboot took forever, but once the reboot was done and my information was restored, all was fine.The sms and mms thread is awesome, but the visual voicemail doesn't work. Any other t-mobile users having this issue? Overall, a worthwhile upgrade!

I was just wondering if there was any way to get the SMS messages i sent to bbm contacts to not show up in the bbm application. This wasn't an issue in .314 for me but after i upgraded to this, it began happening and i don't see an option to disable this. :/

I am currently running the last .314(?) update and while I am not satisfied with it, I don't see a big enough improvement or time waster then to update to this.

My current problems(Unless addressed in the new update) include:

Lag when unlocking holstered phone. I get this pre-visual of the camera comming into affect, minus the camera button being pressed. It's just a gray lag screen and passable, but shouldn't be an issue.

When I play Brickbreaker, the lag is unbearable, it skips with each impact on the wall or bricks and then I end up missing the ball and loosing a life, Lol (Iswear its not an excuse).

My app world - believe ir or not runs very smoothly, loading of applications are fine and transitions between my world to the store are great.

I still have issues regarding ringtones and notifications. Regardless of enabling or disabling BeeBuzz, or standard notifications, i'm still not being notified of some calls or texts (holstered or not). The light or sound decides to work one time, then not the other.

The camera IS less responsive and takes an ample bit of time to render the image and shot.

I can't think of other issues.. but if those are resolved I may take a leap into this new unofficial update.

um...I did many reviews, and reading, and i have decided that I,(FredStar) Will not be upgrading to this leaked version, everything is running smooth for me right now...So im fine for now... CANT WAIT TILL THE OFFICIAL VERSION!

Very nice version, much quicker IMHO.

However, as many users have already reported, the 'D' is missing when you send an SMS and have delivery reports switched on.

This is VITAL to me as I need to see if customers have received my SMS.

Very bad missing 'bug' and hope it will be resolved.

i just downloaded the new 5.0 it went smooth and pretty quickly. but none of my applications transferred over and my data services stopped working other than that this is sick and the official one is gonna be really good

new to these leaked os but have installed .238 with no problem but battery life is about half a day
when looking for.348 but cannot find anywhere can anyone help please

Everything seems the same like the last leaked firmware except that the SMS delivery report are not working and stay to NO in parameters :-(

I noticed the change when I upgraded from .314 to .348. The app load is much smoother, the theme transition is quicker and best of all my memory utilization is low. My event log does not show any warnings or errors. I love this upgrade. I have a feeling that this is much closer to the final release. Things are a whole lot faster. Here are the steps that I followed to perform the hassel-free upgrade on the first try:

1. Run Desktop Manager and BACKUP EVERYTHING. ONCE AGAIN, BACKUP EVERYTHING.
2. Download and install BBSAK 1.5 (http://www.rimgeeks.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=18)
3. Install the 5.0.0.348 BB 8900 upgrade.
4. Run BBSAK and click on SAVE COD;s.
5. Click on Wipe Device.
6. Click on Load OS
7. Follow the steps.
8. Viola! You are done.

Now, you can utilize "Install COD" from the BBSAK menu and load ONE (ONLY ONE) COD file at a time to reload your app. If you are upgrading from 4.6, I recommend that you NOT follow this step of installing the cod since there might be a compatibility issue between 4.6 and 5.0. You can install those on your own by downloading it directly from the software vendor. This is true especially for the themes.

Do i need to do a wipe to upgrade to a leaked OS ? Or i can just upgrade like if it was an official OS ? Should i make a back up of my phone ? or every app will be restore after ?

I have 4.6.1.310, the official software from Orange.
The Desktop Manager is a 5 version.
After downloading and installing this leak nothing happens, the desktop manager does not recognize any upgrade.
Cand someone help me please?
