Leaked: OS for the BlackBerry Storm 9520

Storm 9520 OS Leak
By Adam Zeis on 24 Nov 2009 09:31 am EST

We haven't come across a leak for the 9520 lately as it seems like the 9700 was all the buzz. Well it looks like OS for the 9520 popped up this morning. Word on the street is that this is a pretty good build, so give it a go and drop a comment to let us know. As always, use caution when installing a leaked OS.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). Follow the links below for more information and instructions. *

No love for the 9550 :(

Patiently waiting for a 9550 leak........

What's new in this release?

Hi..that's cool info

I am using 9520/ will be upgrade now.

Subforums for the OS discussions.... Come on where are they at?

anybody loaded this OS yet onto their storm2?? Worth the upgrade...?

Shay D. Life

...when us 9550 owners get a release it will fix the updating of the onscreen icons.

Shay D. Life

I wouldn't advise you to try that. They're totally different platforms.

i was thinking about taking the java file from this build and making a .320/.341 hybrid but its not worth my time. we need a new sfi file to fix the homescreen icons

blackberry's websight only lists a 9530. but i see 9520 over to right on crackberry. walmart lists 9530. amazon lists 9530.

so what model is it? and what carrier if there are 2 models.

whens the tour gonna get some love!!!!??

still waiting for 5.0 for 8350i when are we going to get a leaked version ???

How about a leak for the 9630?
