BlackBerry Tour owners have kind of been left in the dark when it comes to OS leaks. But, today ends that drought. OS 5.0.0.1041 has just sprung up for all you Tour owners who are looking for a new OS. We don't have to tell you this but we will anyways, it's a leaked OS so be sure to back up your data before loading it up. Also, be sure to drop some comments here or in the CrackBerry forums about what, if anything is new within the OS itself so that others may know.
*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

I tried to download the leak from the posted link, but the download seems to require a login. I could be wrong, though, as I had to rely on Google's translation of Chinese.

I know. But he said "BlackBerry Tour owners have kind of been left in the dark when it comes to OS leaks. But, today ends that drought. OS 5.0.0.1041 has just sprung up for all you Tour owners who are looking for a new OS." Well that's two in 4 weeks. So how have we been left in the dark?

I downloaded and installed .1030 because it was from either Verizon or Sprint. It is a very stable OS upgrade. Im not about to install something that comes out of East Asia. I have no idea where its been or any wireless companys there.

I tried downloading this last night. Tried it twice, and my Tour wouldn't recognize it and update my phone. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Did you delete the vendor.xml file in the apploader directory? That should do it.

Hi, any reviews on 1041? i am using 1030 and it's working great....
zupermann Feb 7, 2011 at 4:12 am
I had many problems with any version i tried to use in the past even if upgrading or downgrading. I'm using this unofficial os the last 10 days and since then the only problem i found is that i can't set up the time and every time i'm trying to do this i'm getting this message: "Uncaught exception: Index 89 >= 89. If someone has any solution it would be great

So whats the verdict on this release??? does it work well or not
iSpyder May 20, 2011 at 12:38 pm
Working well for me so far. Only annoyance I've noticed is that I can't lock the device when in a call. Works everywhere else even when on the dialpad, it's only once your in a call that it stops working. Anyone else having this issue?
