Leaked: OS for the BlackBerry Bold 9000

Much to the dismay of many folks out there, our beloved BlackBerry Bold 9000 devices will never see a build of BlackBerry 6 for them. But, that doesn't mean OS development for the caddy of BlackBerry devices has stopped, in fact it's still very much alive. The most recent official OS for the Bold 9000 was but thanks to this leak we can now check out Back up your data folks, this is a leaked OS and as such is untested.

*OS Disclaimer - Please Read: Keep in mind this is NOT an official release and as such is not supported by RIM or your Carrier. If you choose to install, do so at your own risk and only if you're comfortable in the process of upgrading and downgrading your device software. It is quite normal during operating system development for certain features to be crippled or disabled while others are tested, and these beta builds often reflect that. They are not always better. Depending on your BlackBerry comfort level, it may be best for you to wait for community feedback on a build before deciding to download and install for yourself or simply wait for the next official release. If you require support, you will find it in our CrackBerry forums via our extremely knowledgeable community base - do not contact your carrier or RIM for Beta OS technical support (their first course of action will be to advise you to downgrade to a supported OS). *

Leaked: OS for the BlackBerry Bold 9000

Thanx Bla1ze and Driphter! I'll download it and check it out - while I wait for AT&T to get the Bold 9780!! I'll be back in a few days with an update about it.

If only they would do a bold 9000 refresh with a touch screen and os 6. I moved on to a torch but miss the keyboard of the 9000.

Only reason I'm waiting to renew my contract. Came close to getting the torch, but i'll hold out a little longer.

install went fine. Too early to tell, so far everything is working fine. I must say I love the "new" "volume notification popup" when you raise or lower the volume.

The official build for the 9000 is. 822 when I checked. Where did you get .900? Naturally I know where you can get 1036.

Downloaded .1036. I still cannot stream my music to my computer by Bluetooth. It connects and immediately disconnects. It says: "Bluetooth connection terminated." I used to be able to play my music that way until vs. .822.

What about memory leaks? I'm the most satisfied with official .822. But after few months I have problem with memory leaks again. After one day of using is memory out and using of Bold is awful...
