Leaked: BlackBerry Storm 2 OS 5.0.0.287 & Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.296

Unlike the Storm where is seemed like we had to wait forever for new OS leaks to show up after the device was released, Berry Review landed links to some leaked OS' before the device release. Both the Storm2 9520 and Bold 9700 are represented here, so those of you who have managed to track down a pre-release device can jump in on this, or if you just want to prepare for the arrival of your new BlackBerry you can grab the OS ahead of time so you're good to go on release day. This release is for the Storm 9520 not the 9500/9530. As always with any leaked OS, use caution when installing and don't break your new toy :-).

FYI Storm2 OS is for the 9520 version not the 9550

Wonder how many files from the 9520 OS are cross compatable with the 9530 and 9500.

What is this? i mean its nice to see Verizon getting their ish together but its an extra slap in the face to us Storm 1 owners i feel. I can see Verizon just focusing in on the Storm 2 from now on and seeing them putting the Storm 1 owners on the back burner. Prove me wrong VZW.

I don't know if this even has anything to do with Verizon. If it's a leak, I'd say it's a RIM leak and nothing to do with silly Verizon.

The leaked OS is for the Storm 2 9520. Verizon's version of the Storm 2 is 9550.... So, how did Verizon leak an OS made by RIM for a phone they don't carry? Nice job pointing fingers.

Blackberry OS 5.507.013 was just released for the Blackberry Storm 3! Bad news is the phone has not even been designed yet.

didnt anybody notice that the last video of the storm2 9550 was running on OS 5.0 version .287 is it the same as the one for the 9520?

Wow I installed this on my original Storm and I now have wifi, much faster and smoother, an actual IE browser with flash installed, and an i-phone compatability mode so I can install i-phone apps!!!!! Wait was that the alarm clock I just heard........ Darn :-)

The leaked 5.0.0.230 for the Storm/9530 that I downloaded included a User manual for the 9520/9550 (file name was userguide_series_08.pdf )...

I wonder how compatible the OS's will be with the 9500/9530?
