Been a while since we've seen a leaked version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The folks over at Driphter.com have taken care of that though. You can hit the download link to grab v5.0.1.40. Doesn't appear to be a whole lot of changes with this release, most likely just updates to support some of the newer devices to soon be released. That said, if you all spot something we may have missed let us know in the comments folks. Shout out to my better half for taking the pic for us since I don't have Windows on my Mac.

does this version fix the outlook 07/10 integration issue? the one where DM can't find any message stores.

i hope so.. not being able to sync my blackberry with outlook 2010 is so annoying. and is a problem that should have been addressed way back

This does NOT fix the sync issue with MS Outlook 2010. >:|

I don't see why DM is so important besides backing up ur info and updating ur phone or maybe tethering...

... so need DM to setup the sync + Desktop Redirection. I guess it's not important to anyone on BES(?), or if you don't care about sync to desktop client (like someone who syncs solely to google for example).

So I've been running into an issue.... I use to be able to just connect my bb9700 to my Mac and it would recognize the microsd card as a hard drive and I could add/delete files w/o using desktop mgr...now it won't let me do it, but even more so, it won't even recognize a media card inserted in the desktop mgr...I've been forced to use a separate microsd->USB reader to add/delete files....anyone know why this may be happening?

check in Settings>Memory and see if the Auto Enable Mass Storage is on prompt...if i have mine on auto sometimes it doesnt connect w/ my pc..also make sure Mass Storage Mode Support & Media Card Support is on too

Maybe this version will bring more functions to the Mac port. Really frustrating maintaining a pc and a mac just so I can do things that the DM can only do on a pc.

Could this be the DM that will support synchronizing with Outlook 2010 32/64 bit?

mister_right Jul 22, 2010 at 10:26 am
What does this version fix?
misledred Jul 22, 2010 at 10:32 am
Complete waste of time downloading and installing. I see nothing new and it still does not sync with Outlook 2010.
