I love apps that offer me exactly what I need. I also love developers who work had at improving those apps. I've always praised this app as it's one that I use on a daily basis and I thank the developer for constantly improving it. ReadItNow! has got an update. A small update - with some improvements, fixes and a few new additions. The biggest thing added is language support for German and Polish. I'm sure more will come too.

ReadItNow! v6.6.0 changelog

  • ADDED: ability to filter by tags!
  • ADDED: highlighting of selected article on tap and hold
  • ADDED: german and polish translation
  • IMPROVED: better integration into other apps for sharing
  • FIXED: active frame layout on Z30

If you would like help in translating the app into your language, feel free to contact the developer to help him out. There are contact options available within the app.

ReadItNow! is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices, as well as the BlackBerry PlayBook. ReadItNow! is a third party Pocket client. You will need a Pocket account in order to use it.

I prefer 2nd party clients instead. Good work nonetheless.

LOL!

(I can see some Quickie bait in this, which might lead to less than civil conversations.... hahaha, I better keep my mouth shut)

My name is Prem, I'm using BBM ... from my QuZe10 ...whatarhyme...

it's funny how you only show up trying to be first or second but don't respond if those spots are filled... Still doesn't make you cool. Oh sorry, you also try to look fully smart by saying the Porche 9983rd.... Which really makes you 9983rd place, not third....

I haven't used a pocket client before, so maybe I should give this a try.... (the REAL 2nd posting not threaded)

Lmao....never a boring day here at CrackBerry eh?
DJ nice review! I went to look at the app and you have your review on the app description! I may have to check this app out.

Does anybody know if the menu icon disappear when scrolling down like in the CB10 app?

I'm the developer and I would like to answer your question. :) The upper bar with the ReadItNow! - icon disappears when scrolling down on a device with a physical keyboard (Q10 / Q5), but not on full touch devices.

Hope that answers your question? :)

Best,
Sven

Hi everyone,

I also like to mention that the tag-filter feature was requested by a lot of CrackBerry users. I hope this is a good first step for that feature. Please let me know what you think.

Best,
Sven

Awesome up date from the dev especially regarding tags.

Here is a question: I also use the side loaded the official pocket client (I used it for tags). Now that ReadItNow supports tags, is there a way to synch your Pocket tags with ReadItNow tags?

If not, that would be a cool update.

Thanks for listening to your users! Again, thanks for new features. Cheers!

Never mind!! I just hit "synchronize" in ReadItNow and all my tags were synched :)

Good stuff!!!

Great! In case you miss some tags, specially from older articles, you should clear the local data (via settings menu) and do a fresh sync. This way all tags will be retrieved again. The previous versions had some trouble storing the tags correctly. Did forget to mention it in the changelog. :(

Best,
Sven

That is, light theme throughout app (versus just in article view)
