For a while now, we've known Kisai Labs, creators of Blaq for PlayBook, had the intent to build a BlackBerry 10 compatible version of Blaq but anything beyond that was a bit of a mystery. It still is for that matter but now we're finally at least, getting a first teaser look at the app thanks to a new website set up specifically for Blaq on BlackBerry 10.

As noted on the brand new site, more details will be given out in the coming weeks and I'm sure there will be even more glimpses of the all-new rebuilt-from-the-ground–up Blaq experience being shared as we get closer to the actual release. If you're interested in learning more, you can check out the new website by hitting the link below.

TweetBot by a mile! there is no comparison when it comes to twitter clients... TweetBot for iOS is just the best there is for any mobile platform (I have tried Falcon Pro and many others android clients).

I've always found Blaq, on my Playbook, to be buggy, inconsistent, and on occasion, inaccurate when registering button presses, name clicks, web links, picture viewing, etc. This is not saying that the app is poor - it certainly is one of the better twitter applications out there for the beleaguered Playbook. I really hope that when it comes to BB10, Blaq will see significant improvement into it's architecture so that it's performance is enhanced.

But if Blaq could emulate Tweetbot's performance and capabilities - I'd be ecstatic. As you said, Tweetbot utterly runs circles around anything else that is out there.

Never had it before but will definitely give it a try on the Z10, from the sneak peaks it looks really well built.

Nice. Blaq is great on PlayBook. I just hope they don't get to screwed by Twitter's api changes.

Cannot wait for this to be released. I'd pay 10 bucks for it. BB10 is in dire need of some great 3rd Party Twitter apps.

Finally! I was starting to think they had forgotten about us playbook users waiting for the BB10 goodness... Can't wait!

I have been craving for this app's appearance since I tried it on a PlayBook over a year ago!!

Mega chuffed to see what they bring to the table

Not a huge fan of Blaq on my PlayBook but if they can incorporate actual notifications in the Hub for new Tweets (which the native Twitter app doesn't do!), then I'll be happy.

I hope they allow current PlayBook users to download it free of charge if they've already purchased it. Unless it's one hell of a client, the native Twitter, although lacking in some areas, is doing it's job for me.

The new native client is catching up so hopefully they release theirs soon..

Also I hope it's free or discounted for PB owners :)

This news damn near brought a tear to my eye. I can't wait to take it for a spin. Twitter on the Z10 has been a painful experience. I'm sure Blaq will bring a welcome end to all that.

Twitter is my one big concern when I move from iOS to BB10 as my primary device. I really LOVE TweetBot, so anything that comes even close to that would be welcome.
