Keep Track of Your Running Applications with BeAlert - 50 Copies to be Won!

By ObiGeorge on 14 Apr 2010 11:16 am EDT

BeAlert is a new application by BeSoft, that allows you to visually keep track of your currently running applications. It puts an icon (with counter) in the notification banner of your screen, ensuring you always know just how many apps are running at once. The counter will not include apps that are necessary to run your device, such as the phone application and messaging app. You can also exclude any apps that you find to be necessary for you, from this counter. Overall, BeAlert is a nice little app to keep track of your running apps. It acts as a reminder to shutdown those unnecessary applications to save your precious battery life. It is on sale for $1.50 until April 16th for all devices running OS 4.6 and higher.

Contest: We have 50 copies of BeAlert to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.

Keep Track of Your Running Applications with BeAlert - 50 Copies to be Won!

this would be a very usefull app for me as i am always forgetting to close or exit things and then they stay running a drain the battery that much faster thanks been waiting for a app like this sincerly william jordan

Ive only had my BB a week, and ive been wondering if there is a way to see whats running. Would b a great app to have..

I've been thinking about getting this program. it's so kind of you guys to give this away. please email me with the details for download. :)

this is a comment to announce my desire to win this contest. who couldnt use a little more knowledge of what is running on my phone.

Ok so when I hold the menu key and the apps that are supposedly running come up. I'll go to one and close it. Then hold the menu button again and it's still there.

I think this app would prove quite useful to a app hungry, battery draining, addict such as myself! Thanks for the chance to win!

Seems like a neat app to me. Maybe after a few suggestions from users they could have the function to be able to 'end task' on the running apps. I don't know if that's possible but it would be handy for when an app freezes and you can't close it. I've been having this problem with Opera Mini lately.

Sounds like a cool app, throw me in that hat of names!

dont pick me :p,lol, but pushing my menu button doesnt bring up whats running on my phone , you have to hold "Alt. + backspace key " at sametime and it does.

I would love to win that app.....I am new to the world of blackberry, I just bought my about a month ago. I love it and am still learning the blackberry, but I do find that I still leave apps open by mistake which runs my battery down. Would love that app to keep me aware of running apps.... ;-)

Need this for my social networking - Google app mutitasking I am always engaged with. Godsend to use with my Vorino battery package.

BlackBerry is the best phone i've had in a long time. I've been tempted by the touch screens such as the Google operating phones but I won't go near it. I love my Black Berry and it's nice to be part of the CrackBerry Community

This is a much needed application. Many times I don't close an app and wonder why my battery is so low. Battery drain on my 8530 is bad enough without apps running. Thanks, rummi

I would love a free copy. I think BB OS needs a task manager like program. One that could also close apps as well.

if this will allow me to close out of my faves. Ever since I switched my theme to one of the stock ones on my 8320, my faves is constantly running.

... RIM should have implemented already.

So it would be really nice to win a copy :-)

I'd like a copy so I could see if one of these social apps is lurking in the background using battery life.

I do have a habit of going to see what I'm running time to time but this will definitely help out that process!!

This sounds like the wonderful thing called the task manager I had on my inferior device before my great BB!!!! I could really use this app... I am bad for not "closing" things and of course my battery life diminishes leaving me sad for 2 hours.... lol

This would be a cool application to have so I can check to see what I have open in a pinch! Would love to win this one!!
