Keep Track of Your Running Applications with BeAlert - 50 Copies to be Won!

BeAlert

BeAlert is a new application by BeSoft, that allows you to visually keep track of your currently running applications. It puts an icon (with counter) in the notification banner of your screen, ensuring you always know just how many apps are running at once. The counter will not include apps that are necessary to run your device, such as the phone application and messaging app. You can also exclude any apps that you find to be necessary for you, from this counter. Overall, BeAlert is a nice little app to keep track of your running apps. It acts as a reminder to shutdown those unnecessary applications to save your precious battery life. It is on sale for $1.50 until April 16th for all devices running OS 4.6 and higher.

Why the heck would you pay money for this? Hold down the menu button and you have the exact same thing! QuickLaunch also has this functionality.

I am a first time BB user,have used 2 generations of WinMo devices previously. Am loving the BB experience, or let's say enjoying my CrackBerry moment, and am sure it's to go for long long time. BB is better in every way to winMo but the only missing thing is the DeviceManager kind of interface to display the applications running in the background! I think this app will definitely fill that void.I haven't tried it yet, but by the description should save some extra Data Usage too for am sure no one would like that!

Hope this will turn out to be a fav among all BB users.

Was in a meeting all day and during breaks I was IM'ing as well as using BBM. Didn't really think to shut it off...I just finished my meeting and looked at my batt...and went WHOA...why am I down so low after charging all night and not using all day..duh because you have apps running...would have been nice to have an alert tell me that and then shut down because it was idle!!!!

I for one am resetting my Tour 4 times a day due to memory loss. I see the normal apps running when I press/hold the  button. What I really need is an app that shows hidden apps like BerryJoose that constantly run but do not show up anywhere. If possible I would like to win this app to see what it will show. Sounds like a great idea to me. As a Blackberry newbie, I'm still figuring out how things work, what to do and what not to do. I've already drained my battery down once due to having too many open (and unknown that they're open) applications. File this under utilities for dummies (like me)!
