I was not born with a hunger to be free, it was only when I discovered that my freedom had been taken from me that I began to hunger for it. 4life Z10STL100-1/10.2.1.1925

Well, this is just the latest of issues with Whatsup. Remember when that bunch of high school amateurs called anonymous took over the entire website for 2 days. Then there was the identity theft issue a year ago and don't forget the NSA is already permanently tapped in. Great Service.

Sure. Steady and secure BBM will win the race.

Haha. Well as for my joke, Facebook sure got their money's worth lol!

Posted from my Tab 3 via Android CrackBerry App!

(BBM better not have an outage tomorrow)

An underworld spawn courtesy of the NSA? A gov't black project? (only half kidding)

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter)

"Lighten up Francis". We're just poking a little fun on this site.. last time I looked CB is still a BlackBerry fan site

Posted via CB10

Great timing. I just installed the app for kicks to test my connection to my daughters profile. Bbm for me regardless, but priceless timing. 19b good investment never mind you could give fresh water to the world's poor for half that.

Posted via CB10

Or just buy whatsapp. You are only able to post here because there are so many poor people without water. If they all would live like u the earth would be a dessert by now.

Posted via CB10

Who are you? It seems to me that your posting here is no less problematic for the earth's water supply than mine Mr hypocrit.

I'm pretty sure the world says "billion" when I lived in Europe UK/european people say billion all the time..

Posted via CB10

The Indians have a different numbering nomenclature that doesn't have billions. It was an honest question.

Posted via CB10

In Spanish (Mexico) we use a billion for a million millions and a trillion for a billion billions. Also in English a million is a thousand thousands and a hundred is ten tens, we keep the pattern.

Posted via CB10

In the US a billion is 1,000,000,000

But this is called a "thousand million" in several other countries. And in those countries a billion is...

1,000,000,000,000

Cool, I know one of my work colleagues used primarily WhatsApp and I got him to download BBM this week.

Guess what he will be using right this minute.

Catapulted from my Z10.

Develop a new product for $2billion. Pay $1 to 1 billion people to download = $3 billion. $19 billion is the joke! Fire the lot of them!

If you can't beat it ... buy it and shut it down !!!...
And this cause a huge migration to telegraph, which also started to slow and fail...

BlackBerry should be taking out ads that show whatsapp has problems too. Oh wait, that would mean the M word.......marketing. Pretty sure BlackBerry runs and hides in the corner every time someone says that word.

Posted via CB10

Not working hey...Thanks Whatsapp keep giving more reason not to use whatsapp. Money well spent hey Facebook.... LMFAO !!!!!!!!!!

Posted via CB10

BBM can't afford to be complacent.

All deals like this have teething problems.
BBM should never stop improving BBM.

Remember Google has Hangouts WhatsApp has video sharing, what does BBM for video conferencing?

That's right ; NOTHING....

I wouldn't be popping any Champagne corks at the moment.

Until BBM levels the playing field keep those jokes to yourselves.

BBM...For the people not corporations

Wow, the denial is pretty strong tonight. Sending a video or voice file is nothing new for BBM. You can send almost any sort of attachment, music file, word, excel, put files and don't forget PDFs. And then there is glympse, bbmap directions, addresses. Whoops, I almost forget that direct dropbox link for my cloud needs.

BBM is secure, fast and providing services Whatsup can only dream about.

i just read a Tweet from Durex KEnya Condom: WhatsApp is down. Get something up. keep calm and make love. Durex has you Covered. lmaoo

Facebook to Whatsapp : if you can't beat it. Buy it and shut it down.

Sickened....

Congrats Facebook. 100 people a second signing up to Telegram Messenger...wonder what the BBM figures are like?

BlackBerry Z30 STA-100-2 running 10.2.1.2102 :D

Exactly, there is nothing new or special about whatsapp. IM messaging has a low bar for entry and therefore it will ALWAYS be a low margin/ low profit business. There are buckets of services. Hello Chris U, are you listening or do you still have those rose colored analyst's glasses on today.

The only way to make money is to provide a premium service that elevates the entry bar. It starts with voice and video. But it will need to extend further, sort of what you are seeing with dropbox integration, glympse and all those attachment options. Then this will have to be placed in a HUB with all your other social media and communication links. Then finally that HUB needs to be mobile across electronic platforms. This is where it is all going.

Communication is far more than one little IM messenger.

Man.
It's quite clear.
Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked the servers, because he doesn't like the deal.

Posted via CB10

This has been discussed in the past so I will regurgitate. Want to make Bbm the #1 messaging app?? Make it available on windows and Mac. Home run!!!

Posted via CB10

If this was BBM it would be headline news at every major news outlet. Such bias.

Posted via CB10

I'm looking at em NOKIA users and like... remember what ya'll were saying bout BIS a few months back? ain't Karma a sweet B****

Hahahaha

Posted on a sexy QTEN

Spread the word on all your social networks to download BBM... where's all the crackberry guys to push this further.

Posted via CB10

CNN is probably saying how many new users they have since the deal went down, and it's a good thing that it went down.Billions of new users crashed the system

Okey Okey.. this is how it goes...
30M of WhatsApp users got really annoyed by the outage... Rest didn't quite notice.. hahaha

Posted via CB10

Oh come on what's app and FB fans, they are integrating phone numbers with FB profiles, don't worry your favourite apps will be back soon! Yay!

Posted via CB10

A newly installed FB data mining process has gone runaway, amok, haywire, berserk on the WhatsApp servers.... taking 100% CPU, disk and network resources....

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter)

Guys, I've just made a 'truth adjusted' Tweet image but can't post it in this thread. Check out the social media thread, or the channel I recently created. Let's spread the image around as well and as quickly as we can ;)

Adjusted tweet image says: 'sorry currently experiencing server issues. Zuckerberg soon finished installing required spyware. Hope to be stealing all private data shortly.'

Again, let's have a bit of fun with this one and get it out there while the servers are still down ;)

Guys, how many users will make the switch to BBM after 4 hours WhatsApp downtime ?

What you think?

Posted via CB10

Well I guess you have to be comfortable with whatever you use.

Guess I have no argument on that one.
Just hide here phone next time.
:)

Catapulted from my Z10.

It's back up, sort of... just received a msg from my gf in JA who is on Digicel's network, but I tried sending her voice note and it didn't go through. (I'm on my Z10, Fido's network

lol glad to hear this but it's probably all the Americans who heard the recent news that are giving WhatsApp a try.

Posted via CB10

Well if you could pluck 16 billion dollars figure for a company less than 5 years, well why don't we pluck another figure out of our asses for BlackBerry.

Does 100 trillion sound right?

Catapulted from my Z10.

Okay, so you think expensive products never fails? And never go down. Fair enought. Then don't tell me about, that BBM is better than Whatsapp. Don't even compare BBM with Whatsapp. Because Whatsapp has a much bigger user base than BBM. I also want BBM to succes, but it's simply not that easy, because it doesn't always work in iOS. My friends don't get my messages. They have to close and open the app sometimes to refresh. And that make it very difficult to show them, why they should prefer BBM instead of Whatsapp.

Posted via CB10

A friend of mine finally downloaded BBM because whatsapp went down. She said she prefers whatsapp though. She hasn't used BBM on her android device before though, so I'm hoping she gets addicted. She's one of those stubborn "blackberry is crap" people.

Posted via CB10

And now FB has slurped up your data. Well played, or what...? ;-)

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter)

It wasn't down long enough to do any real damage. I think the Facebook ownership may prove to be the bigger problem...lots of people really don't love Facebook.

I don't think we should make fun of them. BBM has been down several times as well...
