Elecite has an awesome looking new theme out called Hero. Based on the HTC Sense UI, it has been in the works for a while and it's one of their most requested designs. Pictures for this one really do not do it any justice as you have to see it in action. Elecite has put togther a great video for us to get a better look so check it out here. Details on the theme listed below.

The massive homescreen allows for 5-6 customizable icons, profiles/manage connections buttons, a Today page with hidden today items for phone log, messages and calendar icons, a Media page with quick access buttons to music, media and pictures, and finally, a dedicated menu for quick access to your options, contacts, and more.

Be sure to check out the video and screenshots for this one as each will look slightly different based on BlackBerry model. Right now Hero is available for the Bold, Storm, Tour and 8900 series devices. Price as with all Elecite themes is set at $6.99

Looking good. I have been a big fan of simple themes showing wallpaper in full but the video makes me feel like trying it. Wondering how this will work on non-touch devices. $6.99 is a bit steep...

What a waste of money. Theme is slow and unusable. Weatherbug slot only shows icon no temp. Very dissapointed

The video isn't actuall screen shots on a working device. They are screen shots from plasmic. It makes it look like it actually works smooth. Not the case as I found out.

I downloaded this theme once I saw it on this site and wow! It's very snappy, well laid out and the colors look amazing on my Tour. I've been through about 6 themes since purchasing my phone on the release date and this is by far the best. Elecite definitely knows what there doing.

7 bucks to find out you really don't like it. no thanks...
Waste of money.
There should really be some kind of a free trial.
Just my 2 cents.

Running 5.0.0.230 on Storm. This theme works...eh...OOOK at best. It's not really laggy but at the same time I have found it's not that snappy either. When I click the videos button on the screen with the pictures, video, and music icons, it doesn't do anything.

I got it just cuz I'm a theme junkie like that. Not sure if I would recommend that anyone else go buy this though.

Case in point there's not a theme out there that performs like the default zen. Slightly boring in interface maybe, but that sucker is swift.

Thought the theme was gonna be awesome. I was wrong. It runs OK - not good and not as bad as others. The Video Button doesn't work. And the homescreen is almost unusable because the extra dual-screens are soooo easy to activate that you have a SUPER hard time actually hitting the icon you want to hit. Definitely designed for the Storm and all other devices were an afterthought. I really wanted this theme to be badass, too.

If the video button worked properly and the dual screens wouldn't activate unless you swiped the trackball (maybe three or four clicks) than this theme would be awesome. But as of right now - it's just really annoying.

Guys, the theme is great, really fast, love the shortcuts..You spend $$$$ on cases, but you think 6.99 is a rip off?

i bought this, and after using it for a day, i just can't keep it, half of the options don't work at all, i meet all of the OS device options i'm on a bold, and i can't even view half of the menus because the color scheme is white gray letters on white backdrops, i loved it at first, what works works good. but as far as for $7, i expected a LOT more. i'll never buy a theme again. free from now on only.

edit: just deleted this theme, it's just simply less functional that very VERY similar free ones, while there are things about it that look nicer (it is indeed more polished) it really is amazing that it costs money, it runs slower, the media buttons only half work, and i honestly can't see most of my menus due to color being messed up, text fields in the browser are black, so when you type you can't see what you're typing, app background fields are black, so apps like 'google sync' which have black text, you can't use AT ALL. it renders my clock unusable, as i can not set an alarm with this theme. honestly i'd put up with what i can't do with it, if i could at least change the font, most free themes at least allow you to do that, but no, can't change the font, i'm very very very disappointed, and honestly don't even think its right that this is on the front page of crackberry.com

This actually kinda pisses me off that this was featured on the front page of crackberry... Don't focus on a 6.99 theme that doesn't even work well. The menus and text fields on almost every application is unusable because you can't see what you're typing. Absolutely horrible. It feels like this theme was quickly ported to non-Storm devices and it was quickly released without any quality control testing at all.

6.99 for a premium theme with all these problems? I'm never going to buy a theme again - let alone an Elecite theme.

I feel really burned by Elecite and kinda burned by Crackberry...

Next time, don't feature expensive and nonfunctional themes.

we live in a buyer beware world, however i thought since it was on the front page of this page it was ok, i wouldn't have bought it if not.

I put this on my 8900 and it is slow and having all those menus and second displays really put a damper when trying to do something simple. Not to mention having that one weather icon below the time. When you are in a call, it just looks way to cluttered design wise. It was definitely designed for the Storm and not the regular qwerty Blackberries.

waste of $$$$
Using it on BOLd with 5.0.0.238.
Clock doesn't work
Can't set alarm
VIdeos don't work
Needs to come with a pair of spectacles - letters are microscopic and difficult color scheme makes it harder still.
Very busy user interface
Too easy to hit the wrong button
Big fat waste of $$$$
Wont be back for a while. Many great free themes out there. Happy to pay for any theme and have bought many, but this was a waste. Now deleted!!!

maybe we should just post the cod for it and give it to everyone for free, justice is sweet, tried to play nice with the developer, however getting no response in emails....what a total rip off, yeah i'm going to post this theme for free.

Well, I posted earlier saying I wanted to try it - then I also remembered there was the similar free version posted on the theme thread here. I downloaded the free one but a few mins later, I deleted it. Just too busy. I don't know just because I am a fan of simplicity to start with, probably. It might work ok on touch screen devises but not for non-touch like Tour. I couldn't even "direct" myself to do what I wanted. Clicking wrong icons here and there. Distracting. It made me believe that "more is better" is not true. My bud from the UK showed me his Hero. this weekend. I thought it was a cool sleek device at first but after seeing him navigating himself with a bit of struggle just to show me his photos, even after he said BB uses outdated technology (whatever that meant), I was glad that I had BB. There are chopper, slicer, shredder, peeler at kitchen but there is a reason why all households still have knives. BB is just like that in my humble opinion.

I have it on my Storm. It was a bit slow until the batt pull (duh). The only gripe I have is that if the calendar icon is placed by default, the keypress gives you a 'hidden today' much like other themes. Normally that would be a GOOD thing. In thus case, the large flip style numbers (which look awesome) block the items. Additionally its black text on a very dark background. The text carries over to the other screens as well. The only way to get rid of the text is to tap one of the other icons. Since the other slide out screen has a calendar as one of the shortcuts (the screen actually comes up on bootup as opposed to the 'home screen') I simply moved the icon... Just a heads up, otherwise a wicked theme. Now if only we can get the HTC 'Pure' theme. THAT would be sweet....

I have Bold with 5.0.0.238 installed and theme is awful on it. Sorry for copy and paste but this is exactly the same thing that i am having:
Clock doesn't work
Can't set alarm
VIdeos don't work
Needs to come with a pair of spectacles - letters are microscopic and difficult color scheme makes it harder still.
Very busy user interface
Too easy to hit the wrong button
Plus the clock numbers are way off and they look ridiculous.
Contacted support and they gave me the answer that 5.0 OS is culprit. Ok, in that case they need to change theme requisits on their page from "Works on 4.6 and above only" to
"Works on 4.6 and 4.7 only"
Other ripoff is posting videos on plazmic insted on real device...

First and last time i buy theme from them...

I WANT A REFUND! - Theme does NOT run smoothly... can hardly read with the black background... its terrible. LAST TIME I WILL PURCHASE A THEME FROM THEM, as well.

I SERIOUSLY WANT A REFUND... HOW CAN I GO ABOUT DOING SO?

good luck, lemme know if you have any luck with that. the email posted on the site is a bad address. i contacted my bank to dispute the charge. and reported them to the BBB.

I paid the $6.99 and all I can say is what a waste of my hard earned cash.

The media is at best - crap, trying to find pictures it would take for ever. Drained the memory - even after a battery pull. I've bought themes from Elecite before but after this I don't think I'll bother. Shame on you Crackberry for posting this on the site only for BB users to be sucked in...Bah.
