The BlackBerry KEYone supports a nano-SIM card, so be sure you've got the right size before you follow along with these quick and easy steps.

How to insert a SIM card in the BlackBerry KEYone

  1. While looking at the front of the KEYone turn the device to the Right Side
  2. Above the volume rocker, there is a small outline for the SIM tray indicated by a small hole.
  3. Insert the SIM card removal tool into the small hole on the tray, doing this will pop the tray out of the slot.
  4. Pull out the tray and place it on a flat surface.
  5. Grab your nano SIM card and place it on the small section of the tray with the contacts facing down.
  6. Gently insert the tray back into the KEYone.

Your device will automatically register the SIM if it has been activated through your carrier.

Now your SIM card is installed, and you should have cellular connectivity. These simple steps can be replicated to install your microSD card as the SIM tray serves a dual purpose for both card types and has separate sections for each type. The nano-SIM card goes into the smaller of the two spaces.

TIP: On the BlackBerry KEYone there is a small hole at the top of the device, note that this is not the area for the SIM card. The SIM card tray is on the right-hand side of the device above the volume rockers. The small hole at the top of the KEYone is a microphone used for noise cancellation.
