The hit game Candy Crush Saga still enjoys an obscene amount of popularity, and its availability might be a deal-breaker for anyone looking for a new phone. Though it has yet to find its way to BlackBerry World, it's available in other ways. So, how do you get Candy Crush Saga on BlackBerry? Easy - through the Amazon Appstore.

Step 1: Install and log into the Amazon Appstore

Go to the Amazon Appstore download page in your BlackBerry browser (http://www.amazon.com/getappstore). Tap the "Download the Amazon Appstore" button. The Downloads window should pop up asking you where you want to save it and what the filename should be; just tap Save in the top-right, then tap the file when it's done downloading. If the download window isn't there, tap the overflow menu button in the bottom-right (three little dots), and tap Downloads.

After installation, open the Amazon Appstore, enter your Amazon e-mail and password, and tap the "Sign in with my Amazon account" button. If you don't have an Amazon account, tap the "Create account" button and follow the steps.

Step 2: Download and install Candy Crush Saga

Tap the magnifying glass in the top-right of the Amazon Appstore, and type Candy Crush Saga into the search box. It should pop up in the results below; just tap the Free button to get downloading. You'll have to tap another Install button after that, and confirm app permissions to complete installation.

Step 3: Open and log into Candy Crush Saga

Tap the Candy Crush Saga icon in your home screens to open it. Log in with your Facebook credentials, and you're good to go!

I've had good performance with the app with no glitches to speak of, though your mileage may vary. In-app purchases through Amazon absolutely work, if you're into that kind of thing. Let us know about your Candy Crush Saga experiences on BlackBerry 10 in the comments!

How to install Candy Crush Saga on BlackBerry

The question is WHY?? Even before their whole retarded quest to sue everyone else even though their game is just a bejeweled copy, the game is so stupid...

Being stupid does not disqualify something from being popular. We are getting this about eight months late and the Candy Crush craze does seem to be dying down. But it is still popular and some people like playing it!

Why isn't bejeweled as popular? It's the same damn game! The answer is candy crush is "cool" now and everyone has to jump on the bandwagon just like with everything else...

One application at a time, nice. You guys are literally baby sitting us through the steps over and over I mean, if I had no clue who BlackBerry was and what a phone is, I'd know how to install a leaked OS, sideload applications and probably make my Q10 walk to work by itself...thanks.

My Z10 brought my lunch to work for me..was in a rush this morning.. thanks to Crackberry.. so ur Q10 could definitely bring his ass to work on his own

Have been playing with no issues on my Z10 since I installed the leak back in December. Now up to level 260.

Connect it to your Facebook page and your friends can send you lives and tickets. ....no money to spend.

Posted via the Android CrackBerry App!

Most if not all of these popular games work perfectly. Those that download the leaked OS have proven that.

The app gap is no more!

Simon, you mention that to log into candy crush you enter your Facebook credentials.
For those like me that don't use Facebook is that a problem or is it playable without such credentials? Cheers

Posted via CB10

I've previously installed it through a side loading. But now with the 10.2.1 I seemed to have lost all my saved games and now starting at level one. Not a huge deal breaker for me but my wife...that's another story. Any one know a work around?

Posted via CB10

To save your progress you need to connect Candy Crush to your Facebook account. You can do that from within the app (you need a Facebook account of course).

My girlfriend and I have been playing this for a while now on our BlackBerry phones. It may just be us but sometimes it takes three or four tries before it fires up, as it will immediately crash and kick you back to the home screen.

Install aptoide first - Its an app Market
And then install Candy Crush from Aptoide.
No issues for me here :)
Running 1925 leak + now official

Apk file while Turkish language option in the device is getting connectivity problems and gives error connection could not be made. Applications to provide Internet connection to the device is supposed to be English language options. How this problem will be corrected. This is a very serious problem.

What irony! I heard so many times "tool, not toy" and one of first reviewed android side loaded apps is candy crush...

It can be! No problem. Irony is that I heard something opposite so many times and new reality (10.2.1) makes things different.

Since BlackBerry now support apk files I don't think it's necessary for CrackBerry to post all of these tutorials on how to install every different app there is. You could search for an apk file for an app of your choice from Google and download it. It's as simple that. I feel sorry for CrackBerry for having to post 'how-to's for every single app. We're just wasting their time on all these little things.

Can't dl the Amazon app store or any other one in the list. It's because I'm running 10.2 1.537?

Try not to DIE for success

I would recommend getting it with Snap instead of Amazon. Amazon wraps their APK's with DRM that requires the store to be logged in for the app to work. If Amazon's Appstore decides to act flaky, all the apps from it will too.

I got sick of fighting with it, personally.

Posted via CB10

Man, you guys keep on telling people to get amazon app store, when they can get 1mobilemarket and download apps easier. No need to register, works like google play store.

Posted via CB10

Maybe because 1mobilemarket is not 100% safe. Even some here have noticed differences in the files sizes of apps downloaded form 1mobilemarket and using SNAP from Google Play. The version are the same....

No need for Amazon store, get 1 mobile market it's much better, and to get paid app and games for free get aptoide market

I don't get the craze for Candy Crush. How is it better (or even different) from other similar games like Bejeweled?

Posted via CB10 on my Z30

I have the amazon app loaded no problem, but when I go to download even a free app it says "Please check your billing address and payment method are from a supported country". I live in Canada. Anyone know what to do here?

same case with me but i live in India. I thought candy crush was free so why would it need the billing address and payment? can someone tell me what to do now?

If anyone didn't buy a BlackBerry 10 device because there was no candy crush they didn't deserve the phone in the first place.
Would they throw out the mona Lisa because it didn't match their curtains?

Posted via CB10

I click on download amazon app store and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Sent from the best touch keyboard, the Z.

This probably sounds stupid but do you need the 10.2.1os to download these android apps through amazon?

Posted via CB10

Help! Mine is stuck at the downloading part. It has shown the downloading bar all day now. I have rebooted and done a battery pull.

"Candy Crush. ...It's availability might be a deal-breaker for anyone looking for a new phone."

Wow, I can't believe how we get to a situation where a simple game could became a deal breaker when purchasing a communication device.
Mobile phone should be selected according to their commutations features. Gaming should only be just secondary, nice to have feature. ...Not a deal breaker.
If that is. Go buy a gaming device.

Posted via CB10

I deleted Amazon, rebooted, installed, and got it to download. That said, every app I try (Candy Crush, Words with Friends, and Words worth crash every time I run them (they run fine on hubby z30)

Posted via CB10

Having trouble installing the app, note that amazon app installed but it returns a country/region error when I tried to install candy crush any help with that

Posted via CB10

Well I downloaded the 1 mobile app market and instagram, Vine and Candy Crush Saga seem to work just fine. Great update. A lot of teething bugs seem to be gone.

Posted from my SuperHuman Q10

I got it from google play just download 1mobile market directly from Google on your BlackBerry 10 it will appear on your main screen I also got subway surfers the android games run very smooth on my Z10STL100-4/10.2.1.1925

Not working for me...
I have a Z10.
Installation of candy App is Ok but when I launch the game, i see the loading screen à few seconds, then the App close and take me back on the running apps screen.
Any idea here ?

I have the same issue. App downloaded and installed but while trying to load it just closes.

Posted via CB10

You need to look for the version that will work. I don't know which version of candy crush should we be looking for though. But I'm pretty much sure it's the January 2014 version

I believe it's 1.26 that works. Anything newer relies on Google Play services, there is a forum post on it (i'll try to find it). However that only worked till 1.28, the Apr 16th update to 1.29 broke that.

Please can someone help me ... I installed amazon app and the Candy Crush Sage both of them shows on my home screen but when I tap to go into Candy Crush it just loads (for about 30 seconds) and then goes off? I've got a BB Z10. The App permissions is set on On (both location and device identifying information).

after downloading candy crush from the amazon app store, it wouldn't open so that I could play. Did i miss something? I see I am not the only one that is having this problem.

I load Snap, tried downloading candy crush on my z10, but it won't load up. It gives me the King... Loading screen, then shuts down and shoes back to my main screen. Any ideas?

I have installed the game correctly put it doesn't work. When I press the app is begins showing the king logo and the suddenly it disappear in thin air..Does any one know how I can fix it?

I have the amazon app loaded no problem, but when I go to download even a free app it says "Please check your billing address and payment method are from a supported country". I live in India. I thought candy crush was free so why would it need the billing address and payment? Anyone know what to do here?
