Changing up the wallpaper on your BlackBerry 10 phone is probably one of the first things you'll want to do. While the installed carrier wallpaper isn't terrible, why not dare to be different and customize your device with your own wallpaper? The BlackBerry 10 phones come pre-installed with a handful of different wallpapers you can use so you don't even have to scrounge around for your own (but you can certainly do that). Keep reading and we'll look at how to change the wallpaper on your BlackBerry 10 phone.
From the Display options
There are a few different ways you can change up the wallpaper on your BlackBerry 10 phone. The easiest is from the wallpaper settings screen.
- Tap the Settings icon
- Tap Display
- Next to Wallpaper press the Select button
From here you will see the listing of default wallpapers from which to choose. You can pick any one of these or if you have loaded up or downloaded any images, browse to those instead by tapping the Up icon on the bottom left.
Tap the image and it will be set as your wallpaper.
From the Pictures app
You can also set a wallpaper from the Pictures app.
- To do this, load up an image in the app, then press the overflow icon (3 dots) on the bottom right
- From the menu choose Set As, then Wallpaper
- You won't see a confirmation however your photo will now be set as a wallpaper
Unfortunately as of now there is no way to set a separate lock screen and home screen wallpaper so you're stuck with the same one for both, sorry!
