HootSuite for BlackBerry updated to version 0.3.11

Being realistic here, HootSuite for BlackBerry got off to a bad start on the BlackBerry platform. A lot of users had issues with lag, being unable to import accounts or just overall getting the application to load period. HootSuite though, has worked hard over the little bit since the apps original released and has now corrected many of the issues users were seeing. If you have faith in the owl and feel as though their BlackBerry offerings will soon fall in line with their awesome web offerings give em another shot. Afterall, it is a beta release and bugs are bound to exist in beta releases.

I'll try again, but I'm giving it 5 minutes, tops. Last time it really jammed up my phone big time.

My Twitter stream is now faster and mostly does what it is supposed to. The UI is still very much no frills though. And my Facebook has stopped working altogether - I could at least see my newsfeed in the previous version. Now I just get nothing. I know it's beta but there is still a lot of work to do. Even if they get it to work properly, it looks shockingly amateur.

Okay so I deleted facebook and stuck it back on as a new account. That seems to have got my facebook account and news feed back up. Might play a bit longer then.

Changing the font size to 18 and making the Avatar size 50 does make a difference to the appearance on my 9700. It looks much better. I guess it is different on each phone though.

and as the download page states, give it time to cache a few avatars and it gets MUCH faster. Okay, it stays. Let's see if it can last a week. Won't uninstall the RIM apps quite yet though :o)

And deleted.

still can't log in. i can't believe they release these betas that don't work. for everybody that wonders and wonders why socialscope doesn't come out of private beta, it is issues like this (not that ss has the login issue that hootsuite does) that keep apps in beta. i'd MUCH rather wait for a fully functional application than diddle around with some bunk beta that they can't even get people logged in. gave them a second chance, and i'm done with it.

I don't see anything at all with my current version of Social Scope on my 9650 running 6.0.0.280.... But hey that's just me a twitterholic.

I kept it loaded on my phone, because I knew there would be updates, and I forsee this eventually being a awesome must have app. I will install the update and try it out
