Hill Racing for BlackBerry 10 is no ordinary racing game. In fact your speed is irrelevant, but instead it's all about getting as far as possible. The Built for BlackBerry app is available for all BlackBerry 10 smartphones so everyone can join in.
Initially, you drive a jeep - but as the game progresses and you collect coins you'll have the chance to upgrade your car. As you drive up and down the hills there is one vital thing you must not do - and that's flip your car and land upside down as you will break your neck - never a good thing! You do get extra points for performing flips but I try to stay clear of them as I don't think it's worth the gamble. So where as with many car games you need to keep the accelerator pressed down, with Hill Racing you must also have great brake control to prevent the car flipping over. It takes a bit of restraint at first, but if like me you'll soon learn your lesson when you constantly crash upside down.
The two main control pedals are set at the base of the display and in between them you'll see your fuel gage. As you travel your fuel will deplete so keep an eye out for fuel canisters that you can pick up on the way.
Hill Racing is available for all BlackBerry 10 handsets and will set you back £1.50/$1.99. I think the price tag is fair as the game offers decent graphics and sound, but more importantly fun game play. How far can you get?
Features of the game include:
- 3 different vehicles with unique upgrades to start with
- Upgradeable parts include engine, suspension, tires and 4WD
- Cool graphics and smooth physics simulation
