2014 CrackBerry Reader Survey!
By Kevin Michaluk on 28 Jan 2014 02:28 pm EST

While you're waiting for BlackBerry 10.2.1 to download (or for the update to appear!), you can kill a few minutes and help us out a bunch by taking our CrackBerry 2014 Reader Survey.

As it is, we all know CrackBerry is the #1 BlackBerry community, authority and resource in the UNIVERSE, and we pay pretty close attention all year long to your praises, wants and gripes. A survey like this helps us put it all into better context however, and also lets us see how things are shaking out between our different Mobile Nations communities.

2013 was a big year for us. We launched the our new site design, we rolled out the award-winning CB10 app, and on the editorial front we took things to a new level as we covered the BlackBerry 10 launch from our Toronto and NYC offices before heading to Orlando to put on our CrackBerry Live show from BlackBerry World.

We want to keep pushing hard in 2014, but we want to make sure we're putting our efforts into the things you want to see more of, and making changes as necessary if there are areas we can improve.

As a token of our appreciation, when you're done the survey you can drop in your email or username for a chance to win a coupon code for $100 of free BlackBerry accessories from! Thanks for helping make the greatest smartphone-dedicated community in the world even greater!

Didn't mean to offend anyone. Thanks Mike for your reply.
I'm going to check out your site. I just started brewing about a year ago and I'm always looking for tips and tricks and some back and forth with knowledgeable people. I've been doing clones and kits for the most part but I do have 1 recipe and it's pretty killer if I do say so myself!

For not doing 'first' here, seems like I sure see it quite often.. guess my eyes have been playing tricks on me....

Btw, great poll CrackBerry, happy to give feedback ....keep up the good work...

Yeah there has been a cease fire. You're good though man. Welcome to the crackberry family!

I guess someone raised the white flag and surrendered.
Hey, yeah burgers and brews........ and watching the sun set.

Wasn't me?! :) no flags....just rainbows and ponies! hahahaha! WTF?!

Yay just got done! Agreed, it was long. But after being a CB fan who received a lot of enjoyment and knowledge for years - I feel this is the best way I could give back.

Yeah, it is a long survey. Next year's will be SHORTER. BUT, the good news is, you can skip questions you don't want to answer.

And for those who have a lot to say, we're asking for all of it.

Thanks again!

I think the length was just fine and I was happy to give the feedback

I forgot to mention in the survey, please let the BlackBerry know that some of us HATE the new call answer screen and would appreciate either a choice or a way to sideload the old one or a third party app.

Did the survey get redone, or did some get different questions?...I did not see any ios or mac questions either, as some are mentioning...

Whooo I feel like I just came out of a therapy session!
Thank you CB for the opportunity to express my thoughts on how this community co-exists together. We are different walks of life but most of us are true BlackBerry users and lovers, let's build a stronger community and BlackBerry will surely stand behind us.

The CB app is awesome, BUT seriously need to have the dev/webmaster optimize such things as surveys for mobile devices. Painful even on my lovely Z10. Sure a 30 would be much more forgiving.

Survey taken. I hope I could help. In the meantime, still waiting for AT&T to push out that update.

Perhaps, I will do an unnecessary security wipe, start from scratch with the current AT&T software and wait for the official AT&T 10.2.1 update. Running an older 10.2.1 leak at the moment, a bit glitchy with the bedside mode.

Hey Kevin, I know it's an unusual question, but what will you be doing with all the personal answers?

Just asking before I complete the questionnaire

This seemed long and I would have completed it but it didn't seem mobile friendly and stopped loading completely after 2 pages. Disappointing waste of my time that could have been productive had I been able to do it on my BlackBerry .

Ahem, I took this survey and at the end it told me there was some kind of error and to check back later - and do the survey over again? Sheesh

I was unable to complete the survey on my Z10. Would not move to page 3 by clicking the next button

The only way to stay on top is to know your audience. Well done CB.

Completed it on my Z30 through CB10 browser call. A couple of hiccups, probably because I answered in several short sessions. Nothing fatal.

I would love the ability to save an article as a favorite for later reference. The guys at N4BB offer this feature so I'm sure CrackBerry could make it happen. ;)

In the crackberry browser forums, one can see the likes and thanks at the end of the persons post. So after reading the post and u see the post has many likes and thanks. Then you know it's valuable. But in the crackberry app, the thanks and likes are above the post and are at the far right. Making it hard to notice. And I wouldn't want to scroll back up to see if someone likes the post or not. Pls let this be below the post, just like the browser design.

I did offer my feedback. By the way lots of great new articles on how to get android apps downloaded. Lots of information on the new OS release as well and cautionary information about disk space. I don't know about others but that is why I come to crackverry. It is to get information about my device consolidated and data that is difficult to get elsewhere easily. Tips, tricks, how To, rumours, and general blackberry information is what it is all about and crack berry does it all very well. Videos and podcasts and financial editorials are good too. I hope that crackberry returns to thse roots and it seems like it is but last year it seemed to want to head in a different direction. I am not here for generic multi vendor phone or app information. As such the parent site mobile nations and it's affiliates and information about them as a general news site is not of interest to me. I have many sources for that. Likewise initiatives like talk mobile and things like that take crackberry away from its roots. Maybe it is something others in the survey embrace, but it's not for me.

Kevin, one caution note: the majority did survey might be bb10 user. That skew the view. CB os7 gets a bit too slow and feature rich. Hard to read on small screen. Imo. (I did my survey based on bb10).

"#1 BlackBerry community, authority and resource in the UNIVERSE"

I don't knowwwwww...
In the world, yeah sure, but in the universe???

Not optimized on cb10 since it kept readjusting the screen but I got it done.

I did mine on my PlayBook and it worked fine as long as I didn't edit. It probably would have went better on my desktop, but I was able to do it while sitting on my couch watching TV.

I was so involved in taking the survey, yesterday, I missed my stop to work on the bus by 3 blocks! LOL!!
