Hands on gameplay with Major Mahem for the BlackBerry PlayBook

By James Richardson on 14 Oct 2012 08:15 pm EDT

We posted just the other day that the awesome game Major Mayhem, from Union, arrived for the BlackBerry PlayBook this week. I jumped for joy as I have played the game on my Android phone and it is super fun. So I thought we had better show you some gameplay as this game rocks!

Where things get a little better for us PlayBook users though is screen real estate. From my experience playing Major Mayhem on the 7 inch PlayBook is much more enjoyable than on a phone - even with some of the monster Android ones we now see.

The way that the game works is that your character runs from left to right through some sweet 3D environments and he has to shoot the bad ninja's. While you are not firing your gun he will automatically hide behind trees and rocks to avoid getting hit by the throwing stars that those cheeky ninja's continue to fire your way. Some ninja's have extra powerful throwing stars and one strike of those is not good news.

Major mayhem will set you back $2.99 but it is well worth the money. In fact it may well be my PlayBook game of the month.

Features of the app include:

  • 45 levels of non-stop action
  • 5 power ups
  • Battle your way past hordes of enemies in three picturesque environments: Tropics, Metropolis and Desert
  • 20 unique weapons in your arsenal to deal out MAJOR MAYHEM, like: Automatic Shotgun, Minigun, Quadzooka,  (like a Bazooka only more massive-er!) And more!
  • Save the world, and your girlfriend

Hands on gameplay with Major Mahem for the BlackBerry PlayBook

The game is very simple and too easy and only 45 levels. I got the game for my 6 year old son and he finished the game in a couple of hours and said he said "that's it". other than that he loves the game.

good review but the best part is the diagonal swipe from below that I learned which quickly gets you out of a folder... thanx lol
