Summer has just started, and on cue the guys at Gym Technik have upgraded their BlackBerry fitness app with a pretty slick feature to help your BlackBerry make you look your best this summer. The app lets you track your workouts, cardio, and body stats right from your BlackBerry. And now they've connected the app with Facebook and Twitter, to help you share your progress as you reach your fitness goals. Hit the gym, track your workouts and body weight with this app, and have your progress automatically update your Facebook wall and Twitter tweets.

Here's a run down of how Gym Technik on your BlackBerry, lets you share your progress:

  • Start a workout from the app, and it automatically tweets and updates your FB wall post, announcing you're starting your workout
  • Finish your workout, and it automatically tweets and updates your FB wall post, with a message on how you feel (As in "How pumped and sore you feel")
  • Enter your body weight, and it automatically tweets and updates your FB wall post, with a message that you've lost weight (or gained weight), depending on what you want to share

And there you have it. Current Gym Technik members can update their app by downloading the new version by pointing your BlackBerry browser to http://get.gymtechnik.com and if you don't have this app yet, give it a try. Learn how you can download this app at www.gymtechnik.com/blackberry

They've also informed me they're giving out premium account discount codes for 15% off. You need a premium account to enjoy the app, so apply the code j10upgrade15cb when you upgrade your account at their store.

I'm getting really tired of App companies hiding the price behind trials. I really wanted this app, but after like 10mins of completely unnecessary searching for the price, I'm not even going to waste my BB's memory with the trial.

This has happened to me about three times this week. It's really, really poor service.

This is by far the best Workout APP I have ever used. And I have tried MANY. The free trial for premium is for 30days. Afterwards it's either $15 for a quarter year (4 months) or $41 for a year subscription. I'm using the free trial now and love it. I would pay the subscription due to my use of the app but even if you don't want to use it for an app. Go to m.gymtechnik.com from your berry and use it from the mobile browser. The app just gives you more features and the ability to schedule future workouts while tracking BMI and reporting your progress wirelessly to facebook and twitter. If you need any more info from a REAL user of the app email me. joshua.lemaster@vzw.blackberry.net or pin 30DC4FF8.
