Google Talk Updated to Version 2.1.33

Google Talk Updated
By Kevin Michaluk on 9 Jul 2008 12:00 am EDT

Ronen pointed out yesterday that Google talk has been updated to version 2.1.33. I'm not really a GTalk user (though I seem to be on every other messenger app), but the early comments point to some minor, yet welcomed improvements:

  • smoother, more stable
  • minor improvements to the GUI
  • ability to save chats to the device or media card
  • ability to group messages in a chat

And of course, it's still free. To download the updated Google Talk 2.1.33, just head to If I missed any of the improvements feel free to post them in the comments. We also have a thread in the forums for it!

Topics: BlackBerry Apps

Ok, so I saw the post and updated Google Talk on my Curve 8320, and after the update I can't log in to Windows Live Messenger anymore. When I try I get an error that says "Command Failed" and it brings me back to the login screen. It was working great prior to me updating Google Talk. Any ideas or anyone else have this happen?

They also updated Yahoo Messenger to the same build.

yahoo messenger is also updated. not sure if it was posted or not.

- never mind another poster already saw this. Sorry for the redundancy.

Just installed the update. It will not connect. Keep getting "Connection Error (65): Problem receiving data from the server. Help! Can I go back to the old version?
