The BlackBerry KEYone comes loaded with a wide range of settings and options for taking photos and recording videos but if you're just looking to get up and running quickly with the basics, here's how to get started.
How to take a photo on the BlackBerry KEYone
Starting from the main screen of your BlackBerry KEYone, you'll want to find the Camera icon. From there, you can follow these steps to take a photo.
- Tap on the Camera icon to launch the Camera app.
- Tap the Shutter button.
- Tap the Thumbnail button at the bottom left to preview, share and edit your photo.
Once the shutter button is tapped, your photo will be taken and saved. You can access your photos at any time by launching the Photos app.
Tip: A quick double press of the power BlackBerry KEYone power key will quickly launch the Camera app.
How to record a video on the BlackBerry KEYone
Similar to how you take a photo, to capture a video you must once again find the Camera icon starting from the main screen of your BlackBerry KEYone. From there, you can follow these steps to capture a video.
- Tap on the Camera icon to launch the Camera app.
- Once the Camera app is launched, you will want to switch to video mode.
- To do that, you must tap on the button that says Mode.
- Once the Mode button has been tapped, you then select Video.
- Once you are in video mode, you can then tap the video camera icon to begin capturing your video.
- When you wish to stop recording, just tap the red square icon, it's the same button you used to begin recording.
- Tap the Thumbnail button at the bottom left to preview, share and edit your video.
When you are done recording, your video will be saved. You can then access your video at any time by launching the Photos app.
Tip: To have your photos and videos have greater compatibility across devices, try shooting capturing them in landscape mode.
