GetGlue for BlackBerry now in beta - Request an invite

One of the applications that I have been praying to hit the BlackBerry platform has finally reached beta. If you haven't used GetGlue before, it is the leading social network for entertainment, now with close to 1 million users. With GetGlue you can check-in to your favorite TV shows, movies, music, games, and more. You can also review, comment, and share your thoughts on these topics with Facebook and Twitter, with one click. Your reward? Stickers, stickers, stickers. You get these stickers the more times you check-in and rate the media you love. And as you can see from the picture above, they even send actual stickers for your achievments to you. Might seem kind of lame, but I haven't received anything for free from Twitter or Facebook.

The beta seems very stable, and I have yet to encounter any errors or bugs. No word on device compatibility, but it seems to be working on a variety of devices. If you don't get the invite right away, you can also use their extremely fast loading mobile site. Hit the break for screenshots from the GetGlue for BlackBerry app.

Between Foursquare, Untappd, and now GetGlue, there are too many "check in" apps now.

If you"re using Google Chrome and go to your Gmail account and created an application shortcut, wouldn't you get the same effect? Just saying it might probably work I would think.

I've BEEN waiting for a getglue app, I hope I get an invite. Still waiting on my stickers to arrive too.

Never heard of Untapped though.

Good lord!! Are people so starved for attention that they need to now tell people WTF they are watching on TV.

There are far too many of the "social" apps that really are nothing more than monuments to peoples' vanity. Next!!

Amen, twitter's bad enough, facebook has now gotten to that point since people use it like twitter & feel the need to list all their days activities, who cares if you're washing clothes, then shopping, then going to eat?!?!?! UGH! Celebs have 1 million "followers" seriously? Pathetic

Once you make the request, you receive an email with the BB download link.

double post, thanks for the heads up though but its about time "online" companies like this expanded further than just android and iphone. Blackberry and Nokia still fulfil a large portion of people so it's a bit slack on their part.

While the social apps seem to be a dime a dozen, I wanted to at least check out GetGlue for myself. I don't have a facebook account. I do use twitter via Socialscope and like to be able to follw certain people and groups. But I do agree with many of the comments, that social applications are getting a bit ridiculous.

Got my link and downloaded. It isn't bad, but a little buggy still, but that is expected from a Beta App. I wanted in because I am a voracious reader and this app allows me to do/read book reviews. I'm not much into TV/Movies/Celebrities so while I will "play" with that side of the app, I will use it primarily as a new book source. I will agree that while we use the word "social" that most of these apps really don't allow true social interaction. I much prefer "face" time with my friends versus tweeting or facebook.

Well still no download link sent to me. Got the "Welcome to GetGlue" email, but no link to download the app. Cant track it down anywhere so guess thats that. Deleting the account there now. Not worth the effort now.

I love the Beta GetGlue APP..Its great... I really like the concept of telling your friends what you like so there is less time guessing on bday presents and stuff like that but most of all I love getting the stickers!!!! ok so truth be known I am a sticker addict... there I admitted my addiction... It does take a long time to actually get the stickers cause you have to rack up a bunch before they mail them too you but ohhh stickers I love stickers... Uh Oh I think I need Sticker Anonymous....lmfao
