If you've been waiting to get your Minecraft fix on your BlackBerry PlayBook, look no further than Minicraft. Minicraft is the creation of Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft. It was coded late in December of 2011 in just 48 hours as a part of the 22nd Ludum Dare competition. While it's not the full and amazing Minecraft experience, it is a pretty cool way to get your fix for now. The game itself was ported to the PlayBook and features crafting, exploring and fighting -- so block off some time if you want to get a good game in. It's very Zelda-esque (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). We'll be sure to check out Minicraft in-depth in the next few days, but for now head to the link below to grab it free for your BlackBerry PlayBook.

Check the title of the article, and in the body where it says "not the full MINEcraft experience".

It's not a minecraft experience at all - that's a different game. Might as well say it's not the full Super Mario experience.

Im sorry, is minecraft so important to you that the thought of a game trying to portray it, which was created by the same person no less, greatly offends you?

I guess the post can say it is not the full super mario experience. But since the "objective" and content of the game is much more similar to that of minecraft, I assume that is why they chose minecraft as the comparison. Did I mention that it was created by the same person? Even the names are one letter off; it's pretty obvious what the main goal was.

I'd just like to say, that despite the comments here trying to bring this down as not being "close" to minecraft. It is actually very close to minecraft, if you actually take a look at the game the object is to punch down trees and blocks and craft items... so... it's certainly not unlike minecraft, it's not like the goal of the game is to start a hamburger shop...

The fact that the original creator even took the time to port this game to PB is worth the support. After all, his primary game, Minecraft being the hit it is, he didn't have too........but he did.

Thank you!! nice to see a dev support the PB like this. (we would still like to see Minecrat, but we'll wait.)

Hey, Adam Zeis. Is there a way to contact you? I was wondering if I could trouble you with a problem I have with my 9930.

Thank you.!
