We're just over a month away from making our annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas for CES -- the biggest tech show of the year -- and today I'm happy to announce we're kicking up our coverage to a whole new level of awesomeness!

The Mobile Nations family is once again teaming up with our friends at Geek Beat and together we're going to be putting on #CESLIVE. We have some awesome booth space in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, where we'll be setup and streaming live during tradeshow floor hours throughout the week of CES. CES Live will complement our standard coverage with plenty of interviews and product demos live from our stage.

Normally we keep our Mobile Nations CES coverage tight to the topic of mobile and the platforms we cover, but this year we're going to loosen those reigns up a bit and work as a big team to cover all the coolest stuff coming out of CES (don't worry, we'll present it in such a way on CrackBerry and across our sister sites that it's easy to follow and you only get the content you're interested in). As we discussed at length during Talk Mobile 2013, mobile now permeates into all areas of life - whether we're talking health and fitness, automotive, home technologies and more. All tech is becoming connected, and CES is where we'll get a first glimpse at a lot of the cool new technologies that will soon be hitting our lives.

We'll follow up with more details on #CESlive as the event approaches. In the meantime, hit up the press release below (or on Marketwired) for more details (including sponsorship and interview / product demo opportunities) and start getting excited. We're gonna kick off 2014 with a BANG!

Press Release

Geek Beat and Mobile Nations team up for CES Live!

Leading tech sites Geek Beat and Mobile Nations — Android Central, CrackBerry, iMore, and Windows Phone Central — to provide live coverage, interviews and demos from the floor of the 2014 International CES consumer electronics and technology tradeshow!

LAS VEGAS, NV - (December 5th, 2013) — Geek Beat and Mobile Nations today announced that they are once again joining forces to provide live video coverage of the biggest tech event of the year, the International CES. CES 2014 takes place in Las Vegas, NV, from January 7-10, 2014. Geek Beat and Mobile Nations — which includes the Android Central, CrackBerry, iMore, and Windows Phone Central family of sites — will host interviews and conduct live product demos from the show floor.

Hosted by podcast pioneer Cali Lewis, tech evangelist John Pozadzides, Android and Google expert Phil Nickinson, BlackBerry champion and Mobile Nations’ Chief Media Officer Kevin Michaluk, Apple analyst Rene Ritchie, and Microsoft and Windows Phone pundit Daniel Rubino, Geek Beat and Mobile Nations’ CES Live coverage will air from the lower level of the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center during show floor hours from January 5 to January 10. Each day will feature a steady stream of news and analysis, one-on-one interviews, technology showcases, and more.

“CES is the largest tech event of the year,” said Kevin Michaluk, Chief Media Officer, Mobile Nations. “It’s been around for 40 years, it hosts over 3,200 exhibitors and 152,000 attendees from around the world. After the success we’ve had teaming up with Geek Beat earlier this year for Talk Mobile 2013, we decided to kick off 2014 together with a bang by providing the best live coverage of the biggest show. There’s no event our audience is more excited for, and no better way to bring it to them! ”

“Whether as a sponsoring partner or guest interviewee, the massive web and social reach of Geek Beat and Mobile Nations’ combined audiences makes CES Live the perfect venue for companies to amplify their CES presence,” said John Pozadzides, CEO of Geek Beat. “With over 30 million visitors to our communities per month, nobody else can bring home the live excitement of CES the way we can.”

So will Blackberry be there? And any inside info on what they are going to be showcasing?

Xandrex_BSCF

probably focusing on the accessories, and the new Porsche Design Z10...
... and maybe some games compatible with the BlueTooth joypads !

Maybe there'll also be the Bentley QNX concept car.

birdman_38

Probably not any of that.

Good Luck!

I'd stick with Mobile Nations ID and T-Shirts.:(

Have wanted to work for Kevin and be a part of the Crackberry team for years. I live and work here in Las Vegas and promote BlackBerry awareness like no tomorrow. Someone out there let me know as I've the total run down on all things BlackBerry/Sin City. DJ, I need a plug! LOL... West Coast BlackBerry is a whole lifestyle out here...

Wouldn't it be nice if BlackBerry had something really novel and attractive to display or introduce? What is the biggest issue of mobile technology? Integrate data and lives efficiently at lower cost. Security is fundamental. Can it play it's card also to average consumers?

Awesome! Will track you down and say hi. Don't let me forget!

Cool I get to hear about stuff that isn't BlackBerry and other less mobile stuff on a BlackBerry fan website.

I'll buy a keg.

Clearly you didn't read the post. :) I said we'll make it easy for you to only see you what you want.. so BB stuff on CB, any BIG stuff that's related that you think we'll like too, but then it'll be easy to click through to other sites to discover everything else. Not just going to shove it all down your throat. I'm nicer than that.

zensen

Ah it's all good. I like new tech. So I'm sure you guys will do a pretty good job sifting through it all. :)

I'm curious what CrackBerry will be covering from CES. I'm registered to go, but don't think I will and I can confirm that BlackBerry isn't an exhibitor again this year.

I think the gang is going just so they can party :)

Kevin Michaluk

I'm sure we'll find some BlackBerry content... one way or another.

And if there's no news to report. We'll make some. Remember, it *was* CES where I spent $500 on a clock app for my BlackBerry. Turned out to be one of the most viewed videos from CES that year! :)

I will be there! Hope to finally get the chance to meet you!

Have a great time in Sin City, anyway, BB should cut costs ,unless they have a surprise,to surprise us all. They should have about 500 cut-outs of Obama with his BB in hand and put them everywhere, all over the place just to drive home the security issues the world is facing, wouldn't hurt. When you think about it ,a lot of people there would probably pose in a picture with The Great One,I mean BB.Ha Ha

CJH_

As punishment for his recent behaviour, Phil should be banned from attending!!
Yes, I'm still mad at him......

Bold_until_Hybrid_Comes

I'd like to see Kevin confront him about calling anyone who loads apk assholes

CJH_

Same here but that'll never happen as Mobile Nations pays both their wages.

Rootbrian

I sure wish CES didn't leave the consumer out of it. We aren't allowed to go and see them. It should be called the manufacturer's electronics show. Bastards needs to take out the "consumer" part of it and then it'll make sense. Agree?
