Equis by Pootermobile gives you the look and feel of BlackBerry 10

Even though Theme Builder 7 will not be released, that hasn't prevented popular developer Pootermobile from putting his master designing and coding skills to work once again. This time he has put his own personal touch on the BlackBerry 10 design to create Equis. Equis borrows elements from BlackBerry 10 and the result is a minimalistic theme that that adds style and flair to your BlackBerry device. While Pootermobile's themes are normally bursting with color this toned down offering uses neutral colors that goes with any of your favorite wallpapers.

As with his prior themes, the small top banner leaves more room for your backgrounds and is rearranged in such a way that is both functional and visually appealing. The clock is neatly placed in the corner with the date and carrier below in its own blocked off row. They may be smaller fonts and icons but all of the meters are still easy to read.

What makes for a nice contrast is the blue highlights when scrolling or in the skinned media player. In the upper right is the dedicated weather slot (App # 19) that you can focus on to select. Rounding out the rest of this theme is the custom search, volume profiles, and the slick icon set. For me the icons are what give Equis a unique look. While they are simple and resemble the dark and light themes of BB10, they go perfectly with this theme and stand out against the darker backgrounds and colors. It also includes skinned icons for additional BlackBerry Applications.

Equis means X in Spanish and is fitting for BlackBerry 10. I love what Pootermobile has done here in designing this theme. It's not an easy task combining multiple elements together but this is a balanced theme to get you read for when BB10 launches.
