Tired of all the Apps for Playbook postings and the videos. Need release date. I am getting that pissed off feeling. RIM is such a drag out slow moving company. If I was not such a fan I would really jump ship. This is last week of February and still no release date. No more App talk and videos, just release the @#$%^& device man.

Those huge sliding switches at the top of the app look kinda weird.

Just saw on Engadget that Apple is announcing the Ipad2 next week (March 2). Where is the playbook RIM??? I don't want no Ipad.

If iPad 2 comes out next week I guess we'll hear nothing from RIM until after that. Why bother any announcement by the will be drowned out. I'm a big BB fan but really, do they not know the release date???? It's just getting painful. Even I'm moving past the excitement phase and I never thought this would happen. It's getting harder not to conclude that they don't know what they are doing and/or there are problems with the playbook.

I agree with you. Thing is, I defend RIM most days on these blogs, but the laid back approach is really getting annoying.

What part of 1Q/11 in the US do people not understand? That means March 31 at the latest. All these people saying they wanted the device last year or in Jan/Feb just haven't been paying attention to all the hype that they claim they've been overloaded with. I've heard from a few retailers in Canada that April 16th is the launch date here. No surprise (although a bit of a dissappointment) as RIM has always said US even when asked specifically if Canada was included in that.

In this I ivory tower of pure Blackberry love, it is interesting and understandable to see grumbling over the dribbles of vaporware that is the Blackberry playbook. I bet in a year the playbook does not require a Blackberry to do its thing, has a PIN, and is running Android. Either that or it wont exist. Early adopters beware. Plus, for those of us who have resisted an ipad fir months and months, most will have one. Blackberries are excellent phones. That's what RIM should stick with.
