FYI: BBM Music is currently undergoing server maintenance

Just an FYI for those of you making use of BBM Music:

Please note that BBM Music is currently undergoing server maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing, and thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We're expecting full service to be restored over the next couple hours.

That is all. Carry on.

Update:

Thank you for your patience and understanding while the BBM Music service undergoes maintenance. Please be aware that the maintenance period has been extended. We will inform you as soon as service is restored and apologize for the inconvenience once again.

During this maintenance period, we kindly ask that you refrain from emailing betainfo@rim.com until the service is fully restored. We hope to have services up and running soon.

I can still listen to my 50, but can't grab anyone else's music. Didn't actually realise the magnitude of how much of other people's music I listen to until it was taken away from me. BBM Music: please come back online before my hour long bus ride home.

I am a big BBM music fan! Love the option to "store all songs on device" for those times when I am out of coverage.

Hopefully this means BB Music is going to be available soon. I have a small group of BBM contacts that want to try it. I'm ready.

Alex from RIM here. I’m happy to let you know that BBM Music has now launched in the United States, Canada and Australia. I’ve been a beta user of the service the past couple of months, and I love being able to discover new music thanks to the playlists my BBM friends have made.

Impressive!! First an email telling me it wasn't working... Now an email stating that the maintenance period has been extended... What's going on with RIM... I've never been so informed!!

From RIM: Please be advised that these annoying notifications will stop once BBM moves out of beta and is released to the general public to insure consistancy across all of our products (sorry, couldn't resist, but I do love my 9900 and Playbook). I hope they can keep up these notifications, it looks good on them.

I am hoping they are working on getting released to everyone. LET MY PEOPLE IN!!!

I will miss not having to pay for music, even though I have only been there two weeks...still pretty cool app and way of sharing/listening to music.

Too much to hope for?
