Funny stuff.

Kinda funny but it didn't really affect phone service did it, I mean the cartoon makes it appear like people couldn't get phone calls. I thought it was just emails & BBMs. I don't know because honestly the only way I knew about the outtage was because of Crackberry, I didn't experience anything myself, not braggin, just saying.

Maybe I was also lucky down here in Miami, but I also did not notice anything and found all about what was happening by some friend (a jubilant iToy user in Spain)who alerted me and later by reading here in Crackberry.

I'm in Anchorage, Alaska. I've been having problems since late Tuesday. As of right now, I'm still not receiving emails on my Torch. (I performed a device reset.) The 64GB PlayBook I bought last Tuesday...just before I was aware of the outage, is useless. It won't connect to the BlackBerry ID user agreement, so I can't set it up. I love BlackBerry and have been a loyal user for several years, but this outage has gone on for far too long. I'm seriously thinking about returning my PlayBook if I can't use it soon. ☹

I commented below that video is hilarious and I'll add that everyone should expect some outages but I also feel really sorry for those who had/have it go on that long. Wishing you luck :(

Still no change in my service from last post. ☹ I appreciate your sympathy mrskittens. I'm a serious BlackBerry fangirl, but this outage is testing my loyalty.
RIM says the problem has been fixed globally---but I have seen no emails for days. I still am unable to set up my PlayBook. I guess I should be happy that BBM started working again, I guess.
This whole situation really sucks. I use my BlackBerry for both personal and business. I need reliable access to email. If I'm going to have to check my webmail anyway, there is no reason for me to have a BlackBerry. I really want RIM to succeed, but I'm having serious doubts now. I know these things happen. It is the length of this outage that concerns me. I wonder if I will have full BlackBerry service by Monday?

Try resending your service books, that did the trick for me

UPDATE:
Fri, Oct 14, 2011, 8:50:41 PM My email is back! I finally have all BlackBerry services on my phone.
---------------------------------------
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it. Still no email to my device. Everything, except for email, is working. In fact, I'm on the mobile site now on my phone.
So it is Fri, Oct 14, 2011, 6:38:58 PM. No email on my phone. And I'm still not able to setup my PlayBook :(
Here's hoping to better luck tomorrow....

Today on UK radio stations & news stations the DJ's & presenters were quoted saying polls show 1 in 5 blackberry users in the UK will switch to another device because the outage. I think some people are just way too dramatic at times.

BB fangirl but this is funny. I love the cackling "Endroid" and Jobs with halo selling iPhones.
BBNewB5 Oct 14, 2011 at 2:51 pm
Offensive? Sometimes. Poor taste? Sometimes. HILARIOUS?? ALWAYS! Big BBFangirl as well, but sometimes you just have to laugh! I agree with mrskittens-the "Endroid" was funny!

I was having problems until lat night...then a battery pull on my 9900 had things back to normal. The video was funny...I especially liked 'Saint Steve' and his halo...
At least iCultists can be sure that nothing like this can ever happen to them....right?
