FUN: Freddy Falling for the BlackBerry Storm

By Kevin Michaluk on 18 Jun 2009 12:10 pm EDT

Freddy Falling is a new game for the BlackBerry Storm that's sure to be a hit. It was developed by Lone Dwarf Games, the same guys who made the retro shooter game Wrath that has become one of my personal favorites.  Here's the official word on Freddy Falling:

Freddy is being chased by a swarm of Mosquitoes and his only way to escape from being caught is to fall down through the holes in the platforms. Grab as many coins as you can through out the game to increase your score!

Get to the bottom and play a bonus round of sliding platforms. Stay on the sliding platforms as long as you can collecting charms for a higher score then drop down to continue on to the next level. Tilting your Blackberry left and right will move Freddy left and right.

For a lot more info on the game, be sure to click over to the CrackBerry Forums and read this review of Freddy Falling posted by member NiVRaM88, who also did up the video above that walks you through the gameplay (be sure to watch in HQ). No free trial for Freddy Falling is available, but the game sells for a reasonable $2.99 and user feedback/reviews so far are really positive. That's 2 for 2 Lone Dwarf Games... I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

How about checking your focus.....I keep rubbing my eyes!

focus was tough. main question is how in the world do you "jump" a gap to get the coins on the other side?

It would be nice to be able to have the option of using in landscape mode. Great game though! Hopefully there will be an update soon to be able to jump to get the coins on the opposite sides.

ssstho, thisth isth really justh a fun fun game. I really really love all the rainbow colorsth in it. It justh takesth me to my happy placeth. Oh, and it'sth justh sthooo sthoooooo trendy. Oh my goshth. Do you sthee the way he handlesth thosthe coinsth?

do you like to add th to every word?? or do you have a lisp?

I think he's making fun of people like you.

The YouTube account that posted this review is "BBStormReview" and this is his first and only video posting under this name. And he's 59... I didn't know you could still sound like a pre-teen at 59..

I'd love to buy it, but my phone is out of app memory.

Not liking this at all. I have not gotten my cut!

I'm liking this game, as well as Wrath. This developer is really good at the details they put in to their apps.
Keep Up The Great Work!

Both of his games are amazing. Well worth the price and addiction!

After reading the reviews and watching the video review for Freddy Falling, I had to download it myself, since there was no demo for it. I gotta say, this is easily one of the best games on the Blackberry Storm.

It's very simple, yet very complex and unique all at the same time. It really takes full use of the accelerometer and does it extremely well.

Lots of different levels to enjoy along with different enemies/coins to boot. The music fits in really well, too, not to mention the graphics are great.

And what's more.. you can submit your score to the leaderboard which then you can view, as well.

If you're a Blackberry Storm user, definitely buy Freddy Falling and at $2.99, you can't go wrong for hours of fun!
