We saw this coming a few days ago, and today the Fuchsia Red Curve 8520 is officially available from T-Mobile. You can pick up the device on a new contract for $49.99 with included rebates. The 8520 is a great upgrade for those of you still holding on to an older device, but I'm sure many will be waiting on the upcoming white Bold 9700 or something else down the line. If you're on T-Mobile and black isn't your color, you may want to pick this up and get your Fuchsia on. Head over to T-Mobile for more information.

Is this the same colour that the BlackBerry website calls Royal Purple? I think that sounds WAY more attractive than Fuchsia Red. It's like they conspired to rename the colour in a way that ensured NO guy would ever buy it.

No,Royal Purple is a very bright purple that Sprint offers on their 8530. But this does look like the same shade of red that Sprint also offers on their 8530 as well.

I'm a girl and it's STILL a little too girl-y. I loved the Sunset Red BB that T-mobile made available, but once I upgraded to the 8900 my only option was black. Color choices are great, but personally, I don't know if they really make a difference in my purchasing decisions. It's all about the tech options/features for me.
