Anyone for a free BlackBerry 10 application? DrunkEddyLabs has generously given us a bunch of redemption codes for three of his applications - including one of my favorites (Instavenue). If you fancy getting Instavenue, Motion Avatars Pro for BBM or Animated Stickers for BBM, for free you are in with a chance as we have 101 codes for each application.

Clearly, you will need to get in quick as I suspect these will be snapped up within minutes of this post hitting the web. To download just click one of the links below on your BlackBerry to open the app in BlackBerry World, pull down from the top bezel, press 'Redeem' and enter one of the following codes - simple.

The redemption codes are as follows:

Motion Avatars Pro for BBM - freemotionavatars

Animated Stickers for BBM - freeanimatedstickers

Instavenue - freeinstavenue

Get 'em while they're hot. Go, go, go. Thanks Eddy!

What a bummer.. all of the code are expired.. already?

Posted from a Blackberry Z10 version10.2.1.176 on Verizon 4G network

Really?! The post has been up for just over 30 minutes and all the apps can't be redeemed already!

Come on!

Posted via CB10

Much appreciated.
@ The same time what's the point in posting something when only what?? 10 people get to download and then it's all used up. POINTLESS!!
Try n be fair.. it's not about who visits the website 1st or who has it glued to there hips.. PEOPLE live LIVES and not always on there CRACKBERRYS/Blackberrys.. so when they go to check and it's cheaped out like this... BOGUS kinda funny,

Posted via CB10

Really? They gave away 303 free apps; not all snapped up by10 people. Good idea by developer as I am sure several thousands of users viewed the apps and not all are so cheap to not buy because they missed the freebies.

Posted via CB10

This would be called sarcasm.
& I'm simply just saying when the promotion is done perhaps CRACKBERRY could close the post or update the post allowing users to know it's been used up...
Common meets sense in this situation. Also I've purchased 2 of the 3 apps previous to this being an option.
So...
Have yourself a wonderful evening :)

Posted via CB10

Highly even doubt that...
More like 2 minutes.. and whom ever has there phones glued to there hips get it.. POINTLESS! I'm not cheap but seriously this is BOGUS

Posted via CB10

I take no issue that ONLY 101 codes were available and neither should all the whinging cheap arse crackberry users. It is what it is. YOU snooze you LOOSE. Wake up. Why would a developer give it free to everyone. It's their choice. Deal with it. Stop complaining or go buy a android

Posted via CB10

It was a time sensitive offer. Well done to all those who got it. Bad luck to those who did not.

No sense whining about it.

A generous gesture from the App Developer. If it was free for a longer period i'm sure people who had paid for these apps would complain.

More important things to worry and complain about!

Posted via CB10

Not complaining or upset.
I've purchased 2 out of the 3 already.. Just simply stating what's fair. Think and feel how u want as we all do too. Have a wonderful weekend sucks u missed out eh?

Posted via CB10

I got Motion Avatars and Animated Stickers for both my Z10 and my fiance's Z10. It pays to be woken up early on a Saturday morning. Thanks!

I used my Z10 to create this CrackBerry madness!

Ok developer I defended your actions to above fools who suggested you give more codes for all day. So since I have instavenue already I'm gonna request that as a gesture of goodwill that you provide me the other two :). What? Nobody does anything for free you know :D

Posted via CB10

Instavenue is a great app. Paid for it not long ago. Not so keen on the other 2. Missed out on the offers, c'est la vie.

Compliments of the season to all.

Posted via CB10

They say 100+ promo codes.... but in real my friend there was just 5 or 10 x)
PROMO is a little bitch of MARKETING!

C00121417

Compared to a draw, it was either instant gratification or instant let down, no waiting :). Didn't get any, but a great gesture on the part of the programmer.

Posted via CB10

Comments like "useless redemption offer" and "fail promotion" are exactly what developers want to hear from the community.....it really motivates further promos and giveaways. Let's be a little more mature and thankful for any FREE giveaways regardless how limited they may be.

I was too late. :/. I had already purchased Instavenue which is awesome. Thanks anyway Crackberry and thanks to DrunkEddyLabs

I missed out.. but I already have Instavenue anyway.

This is the first promotion I've seen using redemption codes, so it is great to see this kind of marketing taking place.

Given that the number of people on the BB10 platform is still quite small in comparison to others people can't seriously expect the developer to give away thousands of copies... but dependent on the success of this venture, the dev (and others) might just do more of this.. but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't bother if they are just going to get criticised for their generosity.

I'm curious how the developer got access to these codes and when the rest of us will be able to do the same...

How about a one per user limit? Pigs at the trough take all three and leave nothing behind. This sort of promotion keeps the few people happy that get it and puss. A lot of people off that don't!
Ya it's free but human nature, mainly greed shows through as some just take it cause it'd free. Again, how about a one per person limit?

Posted via CB10

This sounds about fair... this is what I was thinking and trying to say as well. I just have a different way about it, But your 1000% correct

Posted via CB10

Are you going to be paying the expenses of the developer when he offers his apps for free to literally everyone on Crackberry? One per person is basically free for everyone.
He doesn't need to take any sht from anyone for it not being fair. He didn't even need to do these promo codes yet he did. It's a called a promo for a reason. They are limited and the seller decides, not the buyer.

Posted via CB10

Conversation is very much completed.
Think and feel as u will just like others have too. I've paid 2 out of the 3 apps. Been a support more then I can say for some...

It was all gone 8-10 minutes after the post. I woke up @ 5am by accident, saw this but it was already too late. No point trying anymore.

*sent from a tiny keyboard

Remove the post.
All the (few) promocodes were taken in an hour.

It is not a good idea to advertise this way.
I would not consider purchasing an app from this dev in the future.
The idea of a free app is good-will, to get you to purchase their other apps if their free or discounted one is good.
Wake-up app dev: Read the posts after the first few, (mostly) everyone is angry.

Wow! So this dev who makes a product you want, will be punished because you didn't get it for free? Interesting. Btw, it's more likely that "most" people probably didn't reply at all after reading the article - particularly since the first hour comments indicated subsequent attempts would be futile. They just moved on with their day/life. Studies show people are more likely to bitch and moan over some perceived injustice, than complement a good deed.

Hay. you really got hood-winked by the offer.
So the app dev 'gave away' a few apps to get publicity from CB at no out of pocket cost.
CB too got taken in.
Let this topic RIP.

(Genghis2k3 , FYI: I couldn't care one way or another about not getting free stuff.)

I hear both sides on not getting the apps for free. I was bummed out because I missed out on it after like 25 min of the review being put out. However... correct me if I am wrong. Looks to me that there were 101 codes for each of the 3 apps and they sell for 2.99 each. Well that comes to 303 * 2.99 = $905.97 . So basically the developer gave away that much in sales. Just another way of looking at it.

Posted from a Blackberry Z10 version10.2.1.176 on Verizon 4G network

I agree. In fact I am going to purchase one because of their generous offer. Just pissed that some greedy pigs grabbed more than one.

Posted via CB10

Some people feel so damn entitled!
I missed out but I may purchase Instavenue now as it seems cool! Never heard of it before so the dev is now on my radar. I appreciate the opportunity to get them for free whether I was successful or not.

Posted via CB10

I guess the old saying of "the early bird gets the worm" is lost on some people.

I just checked the codes myself and realized I missed the promotion. Does that mean I should have ill will towards a developer who offered his apps up for free for a limited number of downloads? Crazy.

Last night I had a customer come into my store two hours before close on the second day of boxing day sales and got upset that the phone he wanted was sold out. He got angry and said he will never deal with my company again and that it's not fair and basically threw a tantrum in front of everyone.

I explained that it is first come, first served on limited quantities. This was just lost on him. After his tantrum, he ended up buying the same phone but from a different carrier than the one he initially wanted and apologized for his behaviour.

Thanks to the developer for this promotion and don't be discouraged by a few complainers. Eventually they come to their senses.

Not really the developers fault, sort of blame Crackberry some for this. They have a global user base and release this for eastern us and Canada time. Like I said earlier, would be nice to one promo code per person to spread things around. First to the promo get all three and many then none? Free is free but would be nice to see some fairness as well.

Posted via CB10

Oh boo hoo. It was nice of the Dev to do this. Shame some missed out that's life. There are some very whingey whiney people on here.

Posted via CB10

All gone. Thanks to the fucking greedy ball lickers. Rot in hell anyone who took more than one. Probably Americans.

Posted via CB10

Was too late but hey ho. Purchased two anyway. Thanks for the generous offer. Better luck next time.

Posted via CB10

You snooze, you lose ...literally! lol

Stop your whining and get a life! So you missed out, BIG DEAL! Go buy them now, you skinflints!

Posted by Savvas John Savva, owner of Skill 7 Limited, www.skill7.org Hertfordshire's Premier Football Coaching Organisation!

I got none of them. When tried to redeem it said "All available downloads of this item have already been redeemed at promotional price ".

Posted via CB10

I *love* the fact that because I dare to NOT be up at 4:00am I'm never (not ONCE) been able to get in on these giveaways and I've been trying since my 8800 was new out of the box. They need to have a promotion that will happen for a certain number of *hours* - THAT way some of us stand an f'ing chance.

Posted via CB10

I'm over this post. If anyone else wants to come at me for my opinion.. go sit on it. Sick of being treated like shit by the crackberry community for voicing my opinion. Go to hell
