Just in case you all missed it during the Halloween rush, Foursquare has released a minor update to their last update. v1.9.9 is now available for download and while no significant changes have been put into play here, the update will address some bugs found in v1.9.8 which mainly revolved around battery life and push notifications. Be sure to grab the latest update if you haven't already.
Can anybody confirm if this version actually posts to facebook when you check in somewhere?
I've got 1.9.9 on my Sprint 8530 and can confirm that it does post to my FB profile. However, when I goto FB on my mobile browser I can not see the post. The only way I know it posts is that I can see it from both my pc and the FB app.
to log on the regular website and disconnect from Facebook and then reconnect to facebook.....the permissions go through the Facebook Places portion now.........
All I see is 1.9.8
Just refresh (ALT +RSTR) your App World account and it should show up for you.
Download it via the App World link on your desktop. Sync via your desktop.
on the storm I still cannot select "specials nearby" when it pops up.
After last update I had to remove my facebook account and readd it so it would post.
Does anyone actually really use this app? I have it isntalled, but always forget it's even there or don't have any interest in stopping what I'm doing to tell people where I am. Really none of their business anyway. Seems my friends on there only update every 3 or 4 weeks too.
If you downloaded it early delete it and redownload it and your facebook will sync again.
