Foursquare for BlackBerry 3.3

Foursquare for BlackBerry has received another update and now sits at version 3.3. Aside from the fancy new icon, not much new in this version -- a few tweaks from the looks of it, including a smoothed out options screen as well as the addition of notifications (clicking on the foursquare logo in the menu bar). I was hoping to see more (like the new Radar feature on iOS) but it doesn't look like it made the BlackBerry cut this time around. Foursquare is showing the update via BlackBerry App World from my device, although it doesn't seem to be reflected on the web just yet. AppWorld actually shows there is an update available, but when I go to download it thinks I'm current. Hmm....

Even tried alt + rst, same thing.

hmmmm i never used foursquare on my blackberry before and wonder if its worth downloading... seems like a cool app but dunno if i would have any use for it?

I like Foursquare a lot, I have about 30 friends using the app, but only 20 of them are really active and posting their location frequently. You should give it a try, if you live in the US the're are a lot of specials after a certain amount of check-in's. In other countries (like mine, Mexico) there are less specials from stores, but still worth trying.

yay it can finally tell where i am!! before it would say i was 3357 feet away from my house when i was in it and now it says 35 feet. :-)

Seems a lot more accurate now. I had noticed before it didn't seem to activate the GPS when searching for your location (if you went in to GPS settings your location hadn't been updated since the last time you used maps etc) but now it does. Woo hoo!!

Downloaded the 3.3 app and it ROCKS!! The new integrated notification feed changes the app into a true social networking app!!

I downloaded this update for my Bold 9900 and it runs so slow compaired to the old version. I hope they fix this in a further update.

I get some kind of security error from this on my Corporate BB. Not sure what it is trying to do, but deleted it until they figure it out.

Love how even the though the font is smaller it still looks brilliant on my 9900! :)
