A quick overview of some of the improvements made to this version:
Improved friend management
Changes to location support, let us know if this improves your location lookup.
Addition of specials 2.0.
Automated checking of app permissions.
And LOTS of small tweaks

Screwed up my location look up and search doesn't work

It now has no idea where I'm at - all I get is the "Thinking" wheel thing.

Can't search anymore. The previous version had some bugs, one of them being unable to add a location. At least, they're still developping for the BB.

didnt have my home location on there and it was no where in the search and im sitting right on my couch trying to find my place on foursquare im going back to the old version.

Same problem searching for venues for me too. The only exception seems to be "home" venues that don't show in the normal venue list.

When you click on profile pictures (Bold 9000/5.0.0.1074 hybrid) they still only come up in thumbnail size for me.

There's now a list of mayorships on people's profiles

the friends list in people's profiles is alphabetical not random, but not searchable or scrollable by letter (press B go to Barbara)

The history is back though so i'm glad about that, but it doesn't show what badge(s) you got with a check in or the comments that were left so you gotta guess where they were if you try to reply to them

I love the "## specials near here" bar at the top of the venues

The leaderboard still takes you to the old list, not the new one

The Trophy Case for badges has options for All/foursquare/Partner badge views and shows ones you haven't gotten yet and the badge tip if you click on it

Takes forever to load venues, going to downgrade now :(

This build seems to be able to locate me faster than all previous builds. Previously, facebook places could figure out where I was faster than foursquare. Now, the two are quite on par.

The alpha version has been updated to 1.9.90
The location/search bug have been worked out. Seems like a great version as far as I can tell.

Theres a Beta update to v1.9.90 http://4sq.com/foRbcC . but its still useless, wait 15mins just load venues to check in!? so disappointing SocialScope does such a better job at foursquare than the foursquare app... smh.

"add photo" only ever populated a couple thumbnails from stored pics, now it doesn't get any. I guess it doesn't matter cause if I am at a location I could always just take a picture, but it would be awesome to upload one from my memory. Sometimes I check-in from inside a place and I happen to have a photo of the outside stored on the card.

Initially wasn't having any of the search/load venue problems others are having, but now I cant even load my profile in decent time, much less locations.

Clicking profile pictures loads improved size (used to only get thumbnail size)

Updated to 1.9.90, immediately went back to 1.9.85. I don't understand why it takes forever to do anything with the update, but I'm eagerly waiting for the stable release.
